Tick is not a doctor and has no medical experience, except when he played doctor with a Barbie doll when he was 10 years old.
But this nanny/slug is trying to intimidate doctors and patients into not prescribing needed medication for their pain.
From KXNT: A Nevada legislator asked the drug company that makes OxyContin to turn over information about Nevada doctors suspected of overprescribing the powerful pain medication.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Sen. Tick Segerblom wrote a letter to the president of the drugmaker Purdue Pharma on Friday, saying the company has an ethical duty to provide the information to the Nevada Board of Medical Examiners.
The Las Vegas Democrat is the chairman of the Senate Judiciary and longtime backer of efforts to curb prescription drug abuse.
He made the request days after two California lawmakers did the same based on a Los Angeles Times article that the company has a database of 1,800 doctors who showed signs of dangerous prescribing but has referred only 154 cases to authorities since 2002. http://lasvegas.cbslocal.com/2013/08/19/segerblom-wants-names-of-doctors-who-overprescribe/
In an interview with KXNT, Tick the Sick decided upon himself that use of pain medication is good, but on a limited basis, and God forbid if you need the medication more than a few months, well, Tick the Sick has decided that the patient and their doctor don't know what they are doing.
My personal opinion is that Tick the Sick gets into a nasty accident or has a nasty illness that causes a lot of pain and let's see how Tick the Sick handles it.
