You Talk About A Bad Beat

I don't mention football gambling much here, but if you bet on Northwestern covering the spread against Ohio State today, you are probably already pulled out your hair and you are now ready to jump off a tall building.
Ohio State was favored by about 7 points going into today's game.
With about 10 seconds left in the game, Ohio State was beating Northwestern by 4 points and Northwestern had the ball somewhat deep in their territory and had the covered the spread.
But on the last play of the game, Northwestern tried the old hook and ladder play- lateralled the ball to different players- the ball ended up in the end zone, Ohio State recovered and Ohio State then covered the spread on a totally fluke play.
If you had Northwestern covering the spread, you lost.
Now, that is a bad beat.
