Officers From Mesquite and NHP Shoot At Suspects

While going out for a beer run to the Rebel Station Lamb and Craig, there was a lot of police activity.
Three people were taken into custody after officers from Mesquite and NHP fired a shot. The three were armed but were taken into custody. The three were in a newer black mid-sized car when they were shot and the crashed. North Las Vegas and the NHP were on the scene and Lamb was blocked off on the northside of the intersection.
UPDATE: A member of a local multi-agency drug task force fired his weapon at a suspect in North Las Vegas on Wednesday night. Nobody was injured.
North Las Vegas police Sgt. Tim Bedwell said the incident happened near Craig Road and Lamb Boulevard. The officer was not with the North Las Vegas Police Department, Bedwell said
. It was not clear Wednesday night what department the officer who fired the weapon belonged to. Bedwell said the task force was pursuing suspects and a brief chase ensued.
The suspects had guns, and one of the officers fired a shot that did not strike anyone, Bedwell said. He said it was not immediately clear what provoked the shooting.

Ok, if the officer involved in the shooting was from a jurisdiction outside of NLVPD, why wasn't their agency at the scene? Unless the cop involved worked for the state and that would explain the NHP presence.
While this was going, the NLVPD were conducting a theft investigation in which a guy was selling stolen auto parts on Craig's List. Well, apparently, the guy who wanted to buy the equipment was the original owner of the stolen parts. The police had one person detained.
And to top it all off, someone got sick on the RTC bus in the intersection and so they had a bunch of ambulances for that.
Another quiet night in North Las Vegas.
This has been updated as more information comes in.
