Today, Deputy Ian Deutch of the Nye County Sheriff's department was laid to rest today. The above pictures are mine.
There were about 75 people in front of the church to share their respect, including about 40 motorcycle riders, many from the Vietnam Era and many from the Marine Corp Riders.
There were police cars from virtually every police jurisdiction including the State and Federal police agencies.
The Nye County K-9 team were part of the honor guards in front of the Church.
Clark County and City of Las Vegas fire departments were represented by their ladder trucks hanging a huge American flag from the top of their ladders. The Pahrump Valley Fire department also was represented in the procession.
I saw police cars from all over Nevada, California and Idaho at the Church.
The procession line was at least a mile long, as it stretched down Jones from Lone Mountain to Craig and then down Craig for a significant length. It took about 25 minutes for the procession to pass by.
It was nice to see the cooperation and bonding of dozens of police agencies while they were honoring one of their own.
