Great Editorial

While Minot, North Dakota has been reeling from the floods, their newspaper is still in operation and it still cranks out editorials regard issues besides the flood.
On July 6th, they made the following observation: Barack Obama seems to have forgotten he is president of the United States - the nation's chief executive. We can think of no other explanation for his recent remarks.
Obama chastised Republicans - and, by extension, conservative Democrats - in Congress over negotiations to increase the nation's debt ceiling. If Congress does not approve that step by Aug. 2, the government may default on some financial obligations.
"They need to do their job," Obama said of congressional Republicans. "Now's the time to go ahead and make the tough choices. That's why they're called leaders," the president insisted during a press conference.
But agreement on a debt ceiling increase is being held up because conservative lawmakers - both Democrats and Republicans - are demanding substantial cuts in government spending to contain the explosion in deficits that has occurred on Obama's watch.
The clincher in the editorial is this: So, who's not doing his job? Who's not making the tough choices? Who's not showing leadership?
There's enough blame to go around, but Obama should remember who's the president, and who wasn't actively involved in negotiations over the budget until just recently.

About the only time Obama believes he is the president is when he throwing parties in the White House, is boarding Air Force 1 or sending his wife and kids on a junket to Europe or Africa on the taxpayer's dime.
Other than that, Obama really doesn't care about being the president because it requires work and tough decisions, which Obama doesn't want to do. He is enjoying his golf, basketball, and people sucking up to him. He loves to campaign and demonize his opponents. But hard work and tough decisions? Nah, no time for that.
Which is why he will be a 1 term president and now I think he may not even make it to the end of his term or he will not run for re-election.
