Greetings once again. For those in the Midwest and other areas of the country that are sweltering, I feel your pain, kind of. We get it hot in Las Vegas, but a humid days for us when the humidity is 20%. today, the TV weatherman was complaining about 12% humidity.
On Friday, Chumlee wrote an article for our local newspaper on Friday, about planking, which is a hobby of his.

Another two new episodes of Pawn Stars.
In the first episode, the first guy brought in a 1951 Excelsior Accordion. No, it was not Weird Al or Drew Carey bringing it in. Rick tried to play it but failed. The guy wanted $2500 and Rick offered $2100 and that was the sale price.
The next person brought in a script of the Godfather movie with a autograph of Al Pacino. It came to Catholic Charities as a donation who are selling it. Rick thought it was a reproduction of the script. The autograph had a note and signed AL. Time for an expert. They brought in John who it might have been a presentation script. He said that the signature was real and thought the script could bring a cuple of thousands of dollars. The lady wanted $1000 and Rick offered $500. No sale and they are going to use it for a fundraiser.
Then Chumlee went to a house to see a 1950 Bally Kiddie Ride. It was two horses and a stage coach. I actually saw this in the shop 1 year ago. The guy wanted $5000, Chumlee followed a script of the other guys and offered $700 and then $1000 and that was the selling price. When I saw the ride, it was not fixed up and it had a sign on it saying it wasn't going to be sold for a couple of months. They brought in Rick Dale to look at it. When Chumlee is talking in this segment, you can tell Chum is reading something. Rick thought it could sell it for $3500.
The next guy brought in some Cartier bottle caps (Perrier) and a bottle opener. It was a sterling silver set. The guy wanted $300 and Rick offered $50. The guy then said $75 and the Rick offered $60 and that was the sale price.
The next guy brought in a WWII Celestial Navigator manual which had a naked woman drawn on it with stars in in the right places. The naked women were throughout the manual. The guy wanted $200 and Corey offered $30. No sale.
The second episode started with a man bringing in an antique cane gun. The could not find a brand name on it. Sean came in and saw the cane gun and said was from around 1830. Sean said it be worth between $600-1200. The guy wanted $1500 and Rick offered $600. They went back and forth and the final sale price was $700. The guys shot the cane, using Chumlee as the guinea pig and the gun worked.
The next guy had a 1940 Indian motorcycle which was owned by Steve McQueen. The guy wanted $130,000, which now, will get you a nice house in Las Vegas. The guy brought it in 1984 at the Imperial Palace, which held the estate sale. The motorcycle was not in good shape. Rick offered $70,000 cash and then $80,000 and then $85,000. Rick has the worst luck going to people's houses.
Question, how can Rick offer $80,000 cash- won't that draw the attention of the Feds?
The next brought in a book written by Benjamin Franklin written in 1745. It was in rough shape, of course. The guy wanted $3500 and then time for an expert. Dana came down and said the book was missing the first 6 pages. Dana thought it may be worth $1500-2000. The guy wanted $1200 and Rick offered $500 and $650 and that was the sale price.
The next guy brought in a antique Lebenswecker, which is supposed to cure what ailed you. The front looked like the mouth of an eel, which would prick the skin cause infection on purpose. The guy wanted $400, Rick offered $250 and that was the sale price.
The next guy brought in a antique William and Sons Survey instrument. It's used to make maps. It may have been from the very early 1900s. The guy wanted $5000. Corey offered $200. The guy swore a couple of times and left- no sale.
Thus ends another week of Pawns Stars and thanks for stopping by. Next week has another new episode(s).
update: There is an article in the Las Vegas Sun about how the lady from Catholic Charities got the scipt of "The Godfather" and brought it down to the Gold and Silver Shop.

hahaha this is the most hillarious show I've ever seen in my whole life!
ReplyDeleteWhat I think is the Craziest Thing is people come in with whatever they are trying to sell with a Price in mind! Then they say the lowest they would sell it for is $?,???.??! For Example "The Lowest I would Sell it for is $5,000.00", then they end up accepting $500.00. Most of the time I'm yelling at the TV saying "Get out of there while you can", lol!!!
