Marine, Formerly Of NV., Killed In Afghanistan

From the Gardenville Record-Courier, in Douglas County: A 29-year-old U.S. Marine, who lived in Topaz Ranch Estates while working at Pickel Meadow, was killed Aug. 7 in Afghanistan.
According to the U.S. Department of Defense, Sgt. Joshua Robinson, originally from Omaha, Neb., was one of two Marines killed while conducting combat operations in the Helmand Province. The Marines were assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Robinson was on his first deployment to Afghanistan when he was killed; however, he'd been deployed to Iraq twice before. He earned numerous honors for his service, including a Purple Heart and Combat Action Ribbon.
