Because of the overpaid and spoiled brat police officers of the City of North Las Vegas, the city had to close all of it's recreation centers and lay off 20 people.
From the Las Vegas Sun: The North Las Vegas City Council voted Wednesday to close the city’s recreation centers indefinitely and lay off at least 20 full-time employees.
The 3-2 vote was made as the city struggles to close a $4.4 million budget gap.
Acting City Manager Maryann Ustick said the cuts were the most difficult recommendations she has had to make.
“We have no choice but to proceed,” Ustick said. “We have to balance the budget. The state is looking at us.”

I don't wish ill things happening to the NLV police officers, but if I were mayor, I'd be ordering a lot of foot patrols starting tomorrow until those bozo's get back to bargaining table on their overly generous pay and benefit packages.
