A Cow Is Where?

From the New York Daily News:
A jet carrying 110 passengers skidded off an Indonesian airport's runway after it hit a cow on landing.
The Lion Air aircraft careened off the airstrip in Gorontalo, Sulawesi Island, 9 p.m. Tuesday after smashing into one of three cattle that had bypassed security.
Pilot Iwan Permadi said he smelled "burning meat" as the plane swerved into a neighboring field.
No one was injured in the incident.
But it forced flights from the airport to be canceled for several hours, hitting thousands of travelers who wanted to get away for the Eid holiday.
The plane was also suspended from use after minor damage.
The Jakarta Globe reports that the aircraft originated from Jakarta and had stopped over in Makassar before flying to Gorontalo.
Transportation Ministry spokesman Bambang Ervan said an investigation has now been launched.
The condition of the cow is unclear.

I'm confident the cow survived.  When I lived in Havre MT., I was driving along a rural road when my car ran into a cow that was in the middle of the road.  My car was totaled, but the cow?  The cow looked at me like he/she was a pissed off cow and then waddled off to the field to graze some more.  They have some tough cows in Montana.
