From the Chicago Sun Times: Hundreds of gang members will be invited to a summit in Chicago in an attempt to broker peace in the bloodiest neighborhoods — 20 years after “gang summits” here and in other states drew national attention, organizers said Wednesday.
The Rev. Gregory Tatum, a California pastor with Chicago roots, said he hopes the Rev. Jesse Jackson and the Rev. Al Sharpton will attend the Sept. 27-28 summit. He may hope for Sharpton and Jackson will attend, but those two are running away from this Summit: A spokesman for Jackson said he was unaware of an invitation to the summit. A spokeswoman for Sharpton was unable to confirm whether he will attend.
If they wanted to attend, they would have been very enthusiastic about attending, but maybe the money they wanted wasn't offered... or they just fakes and racists.
