Now that President Obama supposedly apologized for the fraud he perpetrated on the American people when he said you could keep your health insurance/doctor, when will Senile/Coward/Liar Harry Reid and Felony Thief Dina Titus going to apologize for their votes for ObamaCare and all the lies that went with it?
I would ask Shelly Berkley for an apology, but rumor has it, she is out getting another face lift and is unable to talk.
And how about the rest of the Democrats who voted for ObamaCare? When are they going to apologize?

Isn't this all a bit overblown? Yes, a small percentage of people will lose the insurance plan they had--usually a severely underwhelming one--and have to pick one from either their same carrier, or from the health care exchange. They won't have to worry about pre-existing conditions, and if they're particularly poor, they'll even get subsidies to help cover it.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a hard time believing that conservatives are REALLY particularly offended by a solitary promise made by a President.
"Lie" is a big word too. It implies a deliberate effort to deceive. I'm not convinced that's what's happened here. Overly simplistic language? Yeah, probably. That's often necessary when explaining a policy. Could the prez have been more precise in his language? Yes, I guess.
But if you really want to get down in the weeds, he DID say, "if you like your plan you can keep it." Almost all of the horror stories I've heard were from people who didn't really know what their plans covered in the first place. They liked their PREMIUM. They'd have hated the plans if they actually had to use them.
Here's what I'm betting: if the kinks and bugs get worked out of this system, and when it's been up and running for a couple of years, all of this stuff is going to be forgotten. The right will continue to complain about every tiny thing that goes wrong. But that would be true anyway.
Nice talking points, Jamie, but 15,000,000+ minimum loing their insurance is not a small number.
ReplyDeleteSolitary promise? He's the one who made all the promises, dozens of times. That was the selling point.
And yes, it was a deliberate deception.
And the computer problems is the only the tip of the iceberg with all the problems there are with ObamaCare.
You are trying to minimize the problems and maybe you are not affected by it, but there are millions that hurting because they lost their jobs, hours cut, insurance dropped and so, so much more.
