Harry Reid, in the running to be the worst Senate Majority and continued embarrassment for the State of Nevada said this about the situation in Libya:
MR. LEHRER: Well, first on the Libya military operation, do you believe the War Powers Act requires authorization of further action?
SEN. REID: The War Powers Act has no application to what’s going on in Libya. MR. LEHRER: None?
SEN. REID: I don’t believe so. You know, we did an authorization for Afghanistan. We did one for Iraq. But we have no troops on the ground there, and this thing’s going to be over before you know it anyway, so I think it’s not necessary.

Umm, Harry, Libya, being run by a tin horned dictator, is actually kicking NATO and the rebel's butt. We are no closer of kicking Qadaffi out of power than when we started and Qadaffi is making NATO look like fools around the rest of the world.
And when you look at he video, doesn't it look like Reid has had some plastic surgery to look younger and probably had a hair treatment or 2?

I think it's just TV makeup and lighting. Can Mormons get plastic surgery? Oh. . .Marie Osmond right, dumb question! As for Libya, I can see how they might split hairs over a NATO action, versus a US one, but I'm weary of the whole middle east. I don't see how we'd be any worse off, if we just called all of our efforts (except intelligence) off.
ReplyDeleteYep, Jamie, i agree with you. When Obamna took over, I thought he was doing a good job in Iraq and Afghanistan, but now, I really don't know.
ReplyDeleteWhat are our objectives in Afghanistan now? I really don't know. Obama and the military did a good job getting terrorists but what about the troops on the ground, what are they doing?
