Dear. Rep Dr. Joe Heck,
When you ran for office against Dina Titus, you promised you would not vote for spending bills and debt ceiling bills that would significantly raised spending or the debt. That is a promise you made to the voters who trusted you.
Now, in the LVRJ, you say you may vote for the bill. Why? How does raising the debt by $2.400,000,000,000 with no real spending cuts, help the financial picture of the United States, now and in the future? Soon, we will be paying more in paying off the interest and principal than anything else. And what will we have to show for it?
Please, Dr. Heck, do not go back on your word, as a fiscal conservative, and vote for the raising the debt ceiling. If the bill is not passed, things will work out and the world will not end. It just means that the U.S. will have live within it's means. Is that so bad?
Thank you for your consideration
Dan
