Pahrump Valley Times Makes an Ass Of Themselves. Again.

There is a reason why the writers for the Pahrump Valley Times work in Pahrump, NV. It's because they are not able to find writing jobs anywhere else in the world. And once again, the PVT editorial writers show why they are so incompetent that can only find writing work in Pahrump, which is out in the middle of nowhere, or 60 miles from Las Vegas.
There is a recall effort in Nye County because the County Assessor has gone totally unhinged about illegal immigration. From the PVT editorial: We published a widely read story last Friday regarding the tax assessor’s bizarre behavior out in front of her office last week. Members of the effort to recall Matson sat in an empty county parking lot collecting signatures when the tax assessor started making signs out of manila folders and taping them to her government-issue car. Many of the signs disparaged one of the recall effort’s leaders, Stephanie Lopez, by name and called the rest un-American. She taped these signs on her county vehicle first, and then, as if in a moment of clarity, she took them down and pasted them on her private vehicle instead. The next day she posted huge signs along the sidewalk in front of her office, essentially defaming Lopez again, but also this newspaper by name, as well as PVT editor Matt Ward and reporter Selwyn Harris.
Frankly, we could care less what Matson has to say about this newspaper. Her opinion is held in as high regard here as a frog’s fart. Plus, we’re used to the abuse; it comes with the territory. Our stories don’t make everyone happy, the truth hurts and often people lash out. We’re used to it. And Lopez, we can’t speak for her. But, it seems that Matson may have gone a step further than a few little makeshift signs.
On page 3 of today’s paper, you’ll see a story about an official letter sent to Lopez from the assessor’s office on July 27. It appears the letter seeks business information from Lopez, who says she isn’t even a business owner. Lopez fired off a terse reply to the assessor’s office, and sent copies to the sheriff, the DA and county commission Chairman Gary Hollis, too. Lopez essentially says that Matson is within a hair’s breadth of using her position to harass a private citizen. A number of state laws and ethics rules make this sort of accusation very serious. Lopez now plans to take the matter to higher authorities, namely the state attorney general’s office.

Ok, this part is fair. Matson is completely off the deep end, as far as most people are concerned. Matson's actions and most of her words are not something most people agree with.
But the PVT editorial board doesn't leave at this, they go and say this: See, Matson is a bully. She’s also a Tea Party crumpet with the intellectual capacity of a Pop Tart. Her behavior throughout — from the day her emails revealed her bigoted nature, to when her daughter outed her as a right-wing extremist, to last week’s defacing of county property, and now this “official” assessor’s letter she authorized — proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is unfit for office. If you’re reading this Matson, please resign today.
So, Matson is a Tea Party crumpet? What the hell is that? Well a crumpet is an English muffin, by using the standard crumpet definition.
However, if you using the Urban Dictionary, the word crumpet is defined this way:
crumpet
Brittish slang for a hot chick
There's a lovely bit of crumpet there...
or
crumpet
a sexy person
she's a nice bit of crumpet
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=crumpet
So, now the PVT is either calling Matson a sexy chick/girl, an English muffin or that the Tea Party thinks she is sexy.
Well, she clearly is not an English muffin or cake, so option 2 is out.
Calling Matson sexy or hot is grounds for sexual harassment and it is a stupid comment. I've seen a picture of Matson, and no offense to her, but she is not pin up or Playboy material, so option 1 is gone, unless the PVT writers are intellectually disabled.
So, that leaves option 3, the Tea Party thinks she is sexy or hot. Well, if this is the case, then the PVT is completely ignorant or they are just as prejudiced as Matson is. If the PVT thinks that Tea Party (conservatives) think that Matson is sexy or hot because of her views and actions, then the PVT editorial board is very prejudiced against conservatives and don't know the views of conservatives. Most conservatives I know would not support Matson on her views on immigration or they way she treats Nye County equipment and people in general.
Once again, the PVT writers show one again that they are so incompetent that they cannot find a writing job anywhere in the U.S. except in Pahrump, NV. They showed that they are neither intelligent nor competent but are very prejudiced. Fat, dumb and stupid are not the way to through life, writers for the PVT.
