Shopping At The Sahara & NASCAR Cafe

Today was the advertised sale of items at the NASCAR Cafe at the old Sahara Hotel and casino and the family went to see what was on sale and what was sold.
At the NASCAR cafe, almost everything was sold, including all the cars. Most cars went for $3500 while the Dale Earnhardt car went for $8500, which seems kind of on the cheap end. The Dale Earnhardt display went for $6800, and that included autograph pictures, helmets, fire suits and more.
About the only things not sold are some old Indy or Formula 1 pictures of cars and Carzilla, which is the huge car above the bar- it's selling for $10,000. There are some tables for sale as well.
However, the Sahara is still liquidating and will be until the end of the month. Today, we bought 3 small desks, 3 chairs, glasses from the Sahara, trash cans, jelly containers, coffee carafe and a lamp for a little over $60.
You can buy a king sized bed, television and dresser for $25. There are small desks, tables and chairs for $5 and up, plates, cups, hair dryers, mirrors, pictures, vacuum cleaners all for a pretty reasonable prices. There are also gaming tables still for sale.
Clyde the Sahara Camel, the Sahara's mascot sold for $12,000.
So, if you live in or near Las Vegas and want a good deal, stop by the Sahara, but remember, it's sold "as is" and some of the furniture maybe over 50 years old.
And it's not just people looking for a bargain who are coming, rumour had it that Prince and Rod Stewart stopped by separately the past two days.
