Breaking News: Referees Are Back- Lock Out Settled

From ESPN:
The NFL and the NFL Referees Association reached a tentative agreement late Wednesday night on an eight-year collective bargaining agreement that will end the referee lockout, both sides confirmed.
The two sides are looking at text and expect to sign the deal by Thursday morning, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
There will be a regular referee union crew in Baltimore for Thursday night's Ravens-Browns game.
"Our officials will be back on the field starting tomorrow night," commissioner Roger Goodell said in a joint statment released by the NFL and NFLRA. "We appreciate the commitment of the NFLRA in working through the issues to reach this important agreement."
The NFLRA says its 121 referees have been trained on the new rules implemented last season, have already passed physicals or are prepared to pass physicals immediately.
"Our Board of Directors has unanimously approved taking this proposed CBA to the membership for a ratification vote," NFLRA president Scott Green said in the joint statement. "We are glad to be getting back on the field for this week's games."  http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8429885/report-nfl-officials-reach-agreement-end-lockout

  1. See how it works? oh, so Union is ok for the ref's... how about ALL Walmart employees!? the public (or fans) are "up in arms" and all of a sudden the REF issue is fixed! FOUR out of the top 10 richest people in the world are the Waltons (or Walmart). there are 1200 billionaires with total wealth of 4.5 TRILLION dollars. The walmart employees are working. Trouble is, they must apply for food stamps as their meager pay doesn't stretch..The public could demand that the Waltons treat them FAIRLY. A living wage woould be great! Then and only then will we shop there....and that Mr. President would then be a great day in America!

  2. Well, that is a bunch of crap. I used to work for Wal--Mart and know that your comments are full of crap.
Did you know that Wal-Mart offers a form of health insurance for $10 a month? And then it goes all the way up for family plans.
Did you also know that many Wal-Mart employees are hired from welfare rolls?
Yeah, didn't think so. Maybe next time you will think for your self instead of taking the left's talking points.
