Too Funny

From the Chicago Tribune: Fog and heavy snow mean passengers on a Russian ship stranded in Antarctica for over a week are likely to ring in the New Year trapped in the ice, as a rescue helicopter on a nearby Chinese ship waits for the weather to clear.
The helicopter on board the Snow Dragon will be used after an Australian icebreaker on Monday failed to reach the trapped Akademik Shokalskiy, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said on Tuesday.
But continuing blizzard conditions mean the rescue attempt will have wait.

And while the mainstream won't say it, these fools on this ship, that is stranded by ice and a blizzard are down there studying global warming and why the polar ice caps are melting.
I wonder if they understand the foolishness in their studying.

  1. Sigh. Nobody said that the polar ice caps are permanently and irrevocably melted. It's winter in the arctic. It's cold up there. That in no way disproves global climate change.

Climate scientists are in consensus (high 90-percentile) that man-made global climate change is happening. I don't understand how being a conservative makes that impossible, or remotely funny.

  2. Actually, Jamie, this is near the South Pole- not North Pole, so it is summer time there.

  3. We should probably give him a break, he may not know the difference between Antarctic and Arctic. Or he may not know that the seasons are different at the the poles.

Of course, this is a guy who thinks "consensus" equals data. Global Cooling, oops, sooo '70's, Global Warming... oops, so '90s. I mean Climate Change is a theory written by blind men describing an elephant. The IPCC set specific tasks, separated the scientific groups, had them write up findings and then a committee cherry picked the data and wrote the report signing all the scientists name to it.

60% of the people involved have stated the conclusions were not supported by the data provided. So, for Mr. Greenlee 40% is "consensus".

What I am wondering is why are there what appears to be two Obama Campaign decals on the Chinese rescue helicopter?
