Just when you think President Obama's behavior couldn't get any worse, he shows once again that this bozo will stoop at anything to get attention.
Today he continued on his (not the troops) victory tour by appearing on 60 Minutes.
First, he decided to make this a political campaign speech. From the Las Vegas Sun: Public opinion polls have shown a boost in Obama's support in the days since the raid, and his re-election campaign was eager to draw attention to the interview.
Jim Messina, the president's campaign manager, emailed supporters encouraging them to watch the program. The note included a link to a listing of all of the network's local affiliates around the country - and another one requesting donations to Obama's re-election effort. (emphasis mine)
All Obama did was order the raid. Nothing more and nothing less. If it were not for the hard work of the CIA and other intelligence officers, the Navy SEALs, all the supporting workers in the military on up to members of his White House staff, Obama wouldn't have had the ability to make the call to raid the compound. And don't forget President Bush who set the plan in motion when he was president. But instead, Obama uses this talk on 60 Minutes as a campaign moment where he seeks contributions. This is disgusting and it is a disgrace to all the service men and women who have gone to Afghanistan and Iraq and especially those who died overseas. They didn't go over there and serve just to be a part of President Obama's re-election campaign.
And let's go to the Las Vegas Sun to see the narcissist in action: The helicopter raid "was the longest 40 minutes of my life,"... Monitoring the commando raid operation in the White House Situation Room a week ago, Obama said he and top aides "had a sense of when gunfire and explosions took place" halfway around the world, and knew when one of the helicopters carrying Navy SEALs made an unplanned hard landing. "But we could not get information clearly about what was happening inside the compound," he said.....In the interview, Obama said that as nervous as he was about the raid, he didn't lose sleep over the possibility that bin Laden might be killed...Discussing his own role, he said the decision to order the raid was very difficult, in part because there was no certainty that bin Laden was at the compound, and also because of the risk to the SEALs.
"But ultimately, I had so much confidence in the capacity of our guys to carry out the mission that I felt that the risks were outweighed by the potential benefit of finally getting our man," he said. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/may/08/obama-getting-our-man-outweighed-risks-raid/
Obama has a mental disorder. He thinks everything revolves around him. much like Peter Griffin, but Peter's excuse is that he is fat. What's Obama's excuse?
Merry Christmas!
