Goodman introduced himself as mayor, then asked residents to cast votes in the mayoral race to continue the momentum of the past 12 years.
He didn't say Carolyn Goodman's name or mention that his wife is a candidate.
Supporters of opponent Chris Giunchigliani immediately suspected funny business and accused Goodman of using city resources to sway the election. A city spokesman said the call was not generated by the city.

Wow, the sitting mayor can't even ask his constituents to go out and vote today?
Oscar Goodman is acting like a mayor should- asking that people go out and vote. and if he used city resources to do it, so what. That is what Mayors do.
Now, if he said to go out and vote for his wife or said not to vote for the bitter old woman, Giunchigliani, then the Giunchigliani would have the right to complain, but he didn't.
So, bottoms up to this day's nominee of Bitter Woman: Chris Giunchigliani.
And if you live in Nevada, please vote today. Polls close at 7:00, I believe.
