Harry Reid: Hypocrite

When it comes down to Harry Reid and raising the debt ceiling, Reid is just a hypocrite. From the LVRJ: Raising the stakes as leaders continue to struggle to come up with a deal to permit more government borrowing, Sen. Harry Reid warned Thursday that a default "will affect every American's wallet."
If there is no agreement to raise the debt limit by Aug. 2, Reid said the outcome would be catastrophic, and not limited to the financial markets.
"It will affect every American's wallet as well," in the form of higher interest rates for mortgages, car payments, credit cards and student loans, said Reid, the Senate majority leader from Nevada
Social Security checks "would stop," Reid said, along with veterans benefits and paychecks for the military.
His comment on Social Security echoed President Barack Obama, who said earlier this week he "cannot guarantee" checks would go out on Aug. 3.

I cannot even imagine how far up President Obama's ass Reid has his nose. I'm pretty sure, Reid has his nose from Obama's ass up to Obama's duodenum.
However, when George Bush was president, Reid voted against raising the debt ceiling, in 2006. When asked why he did it, Reid basically said it was about politics and Bush policies he disagreed with.
Here is Reid explaining why he didn't vote for raising the debt ceiling:

And Reid said this about his vote against the debt ceiling: “I shouldn’t have done that. I’m kinda embarrassed I did. It was a political maneuver by we Democrats. The Republicans were in power – there were more of them,” Reid said. “The president voted when he was in the Senate the same way. I heard him apologize for it. We all should take a look at how we handle these issues, but that doesn’t take into consideration the numerous times, the numerous times I voted to raise the debt ceiling. The one time I tried to make a political issue of it, I wish I hadn’t."

So, Reid admits it was political to vote against the debt.
So, now in 2011 and with a Democrat president in power, how do we know the debt increase isn't all about politics? You can't have both ways, Harry Reid, and you cannot be trusted to tell us the truth about the debt ceiling.
And the same goes for Obama- he voted against the debt ceiling raise in 2006 as well.
How do we know Obama and Reid are not lying now? You can't. They lie when their mouth's moves.
