The parents of murdered border agent Brian Terry told Fox News' Sean
Hannity on Thursday that they think Attorney General Eric Holder and
other Justice Department officials are "hiding something" in their
response to the botched anti-gunrunning operation Fast and Furious.
The operation let illicit guns "walk" in the hope of tracking them to
bigger traffickers, but many of the guns just disappeared into Mexico.
Two of those guns were later found at the crime scene where Terry was
killed in December 2010 just north of the border.....
Terry's parents, Kent and Josephine Terry, said they are upset that
the Obama administration may be preventing them from getting the full
story about how their son died.
"They're lying. ... They're passing the buck," Kent Terry told
Hannity. "I just know that they're hiding something big. Something
happened out there."
The interview comes a day after the Terry's released a statement
expressing disappointment with the Obama's administration's latest
actions.
"Attorney General Eric Holder's refusal to fully disclose the
documents associated with Operation Fast and Furious and President
Obama's assertion of executive privilege serves to compound this
tragedy. It denies the Terry family and the American people the truth,"
they said.
Liberals are poo poohing this as election year politics but in reality it is not. The investigation has been going for at least a year and a half.. I've been writing about for a year now, so this isn't new news.
Second, a police officer was killed because of Fast and Furious, plain and simple. That alone should trigger a massive investigation, especially since they have not bought the murderer(s) to justice. Is the DOJ hiding the killers to protect Eric Holder, President Obama and Janet Napolitano? I guess to the Democrats in Congress, it is no big deal that a police officer was killed with help by a failed Department of Justice policy.
Finally, what is Obama hiding when he exerts Executive Privilege? This implies that Obama and the White House have something to hide.
It's time for a special prosecutor and it is time to hold Eric Holder in contempt of Congress. And if the DOJ tried to convict Roger Clemens for lying to Congress, you would think they should go after the DOJ officials, including Holder for lying to Congress.
It seems like cover ups are worse than the original problems. If he could, Obama and Holder ought to try and connect with Richard Nixon because this is going to be Obama's Watergate.
The only reason this is happening in an election year is because Obama and Holder have dragged it out this long.
ReplyDeleteFreedom lovers have to be careful when they state that someone is dead because of the guns that were released. Availability of guns is immaterial to crimes being committed, even if they were delivered on a platter to Mexican drug gangs by Obama and Holder.
You are wrong sir/ma'am. This investigation has been going on for a year and a half. The only reason why it is an election year issue is because of the stupidity of Obama and Holder lying and refusing to turn over documents related to the investigation. If Holder and Obama, but especially Holder were not so stupid, this investigation would have been over by now.
