From the New York Daily News: Quadruple amputee Brendan Marrocco can’t wait to take his new arms — and his old Dodge Charger — out for a quick spin.
And the gutsy Iraq War veteran is even looking forward to flipping off the first driver who gets in his way.
“I am very excited to do that again,” the 26-year-old Staten Island native said Tuesday at Johns Hopkins Hospital “Everyone needs to know they're No. 1 sometimes.”
The wisecracking Marrocco, recovering from a history-making double-arm transplant, said his hands already feel like his own.
Marrocco lost all four limbs on Easter Sunday 2009 in a Iraq bombing that killed one soldier and wounded another. His upper limbs were replaced in a 13-hour operation on Dec. 18.

I hope the surgery is a success and that many more limb transplants will happen to help those who have lost limbs in war or other activities.
