Oh, the liberals say, voting fraud is just isolated. Yeah, right.
From the Louisville Courier-Journal: A prominent Southern Indiana Democratic campaign consultant has agreed to plead guilty to three counts of vote fraud in Jennings County.
Mike Marshall, 60, of North Vernon, resigned in October 2011 from former Jeffersonville Mayor Tom Galligan’s re-election campaign shortly after he was indicted and arrested in Jennings County on four dozen counts of vote fraud, forgery and perjury for allegedly tampering with absentee ballots during the 2010 election year.
Galligan lost the election a month later to current Mayor Mike Moore.
Under Marshall’s proposed plea agreement filed last month, he would plead guilty to only the three fraud charges, which stem from applications for absentee ballots he submitted for his brother, Rob Marshall, son Bernard Marshall and Kevin Phelps, who used to live with him.
None of the three men received or filed an absentee ballot, said Jeffersonville attorney Larry Wilder, one of the lawyers representing Mike Marshall.
Wilder will argue that the three Class D felony charges should be treated as Class A misdemeanors, with the punishment of probation instead of incarceration.
The state, led by special prosecutors Frank Negangard, of Dearborn County, and Lynn Fledderman, of Ripley County, will argue that the charges are felonies, which if served concurrently would require Marshall to spend six months to three years in prison. http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20130215/NEWS02/302150094/Plea-deal-filed-vote-fraud-case-against-Indiana-Democratic-campaign-consultant?nclick_check=1
