Undercover Service Animals |
Apparently, those who spend thousands of dollars training just 1 dog, apparently have graduated several hundred dogs in the Las Vegas area in the past 2 weeks.
I mean, it is understandable, especially since Obama has put millions on disability, that more people would need service animals.
But when I work at Wal-Mart, each shift, I see about 10 of these service animals. My sense is that these are dogs and a cat would otherwise be left in the car in cooler weather, but now are brought in the store to stay cool, even though this violates health codes.
But because of the American with Disabilities Act, we cannot question the owner if the animal is a service animal or not. And since these critters are no longer required to wear a vest, they could be considered undercover service dogs.
Another federal regulation down the drain- meant for good, but abused by people who care only about themselves.
So, the heck with safe food handling, especially when he dogs can pee wherever they want, the ADA and the undercover service animals comes first.
But now I guess, it is obvious what I should do- pretend my dog (rabbit or guinea pig) is a service animal and so I could bring them into the store and help me shop.
Why spend $1000's to train a service dog, when you can get a service dog for free?
I hadn't heard a vest was no longer required!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Walmart became a PETCO. Still, better than leaving them in hot cars.
