The National Council on Teacher Quality has graded colleges that educate potential throughout the United States and Nevada fares... well we suck in putting out quality teachers.
According to the NCTQ, UNLV rates a 1 star out of 4 in 2 categories (Undergraduate and graduate elementary school programs) and rates no stars in Graduate secondary and graduate Special Education. http://www.nctq.org/teacherPrep/findings/stateFindings.do?state=NV#institutions
The school I graduated from, U.W. Madison, had an average of 2 stars, which is hard to believe since they had so many crackpots on the staff.
There were only 3 programs with a perfect 4 star rating and two of them are in Tennessee.
So, when you get no stars in your program, like at UNLV, obviously, you are not doing very well.
And we wonder why kids these days are not so smart and bright.
I think this teacher went to UNLV:
