From jsonline: Greendale police have arrested a 75-year-old West Allis man following the evacuation of the Southridge Mall parking lot on Friday for a suspected grenade.
Mall security called police about 9:30 a.m. to report a grenade was inside a vehicle in the Southridge parking lot, according to a news release.
A security officer noticed the device when placing a parking warning on the vehicle. Greendale police evacuated and blocked off the area while waiting for the Milwaukee County Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit to arrive.
The county unit determined the grenade was a replica. The 75-year-old West Allis man was arrested and will be referred to the Milwaukee County district attorney's office on unspecific charges, according to a Greendale police news release.

So, what will be the charge? Unless he displayed it in a threatening manner and threatened to use the fake grenade, what possible charge could there be?
And why is he still in custody? Pretty brave for the cops to throw a 75 year old man on no charges and he wasn't a danger to the pubic.
