A Day Of Great Education In CCSD

Today was an all district testing day for high schools.
This means that all 9th grade students had the day off of school.
Most special education students had the day off of school.
For those testing, the vast majority of the high school students spent 2 hours in school.
At the school I teach at, we were testing math and when I was checking in students, the students had to check the time the got their testing packet.
Sadly, several of the students couldn't tell the time.  This did not bode well for them passing the math test.
Others tried their hardest.
In a couple of months, we will find out who passed and failed and who will graduate and who will be a drop out and future Wal-Mart worker.
Thank goodness that the proficiency exams will be history in 3 years in Nevada.
Just another great day in Nevada education.
