Trump Bad For Talk Radio?

Most conservative talk radio hosts were thrilled when President Trump was elected president of the U.S..
Now that he is in office, they may have 2nd thoughts.
No, they are not mad at Trump but on the contrary, it seems like they are struggling.
I've been listening to Rush, Hannity, Levin and others.  Hannity and Rush are basically rah rah guys for Trump and Levin is almost a rah rah guy but also tries to show his independence by ripping on Trump on the tariff issue.   Yawn.
Conservative talk radio needs a bogey man... liberals and they are in short supply since Democrats and liberals are going the way of the dodo bird.  If they don't have Democrats to kick around then they have to rip on Republicans, the home team.  And if they rip on Trump and the Republicans, they risk on ticking off their audience and then their audience starts listening to classic rock.
Ex-president Obama was great for talking radio because he was their bogey man. Trump is the anti-bogey man and talk radio will suffer.

  1. I can't imagine Trump will hold onto the loyalty of actual rock-ribbed Republicans. Beyond winning in their name, he has little in common with most of them. Religious? Hardly. Moral? Are you kidding? Pro-life? Recently, and has joked about being the cause of some abortions in the past. Anti-gay? Apparently not, though his VP has him covered there FOR DAYS. Still, after the glow of the win is gone, I'm not so sure your average conservative Republican is going to stay a strong supporter, beyond lip service.
