When Will We Have A Discussion About Police Murders

Image result for picture of cop funeral
So far this year, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page, there have been 35 police officers killed by gunfire and 8 more officers caused by assault and vehicle assaults, meaning there have been 43 officers murdered in 2014.  http://www.odmp.org/search/year
In the past 2 months, there have been 13 officers murdered.
As an aside, there have been 7 K-9 dogs who were murdered in 2014 as well.
Obama, Holder and their ilk want to cry about a couple of punks who were killed by cops but say nothing about the cops who have been killed protecting their communities.
Shameful, isn't it?

So, That Is What The Bridge Is For

For those who drive on Hwy 93, between Las Vegas and Kingman/Phoenix, there is a bridge about 13 miles inside of Arizona that appears to be a bridge to nowhere.
There are no roads connecting the bridge- it's just there.
Then, when we were driving to Las Vegas this evening, we saw about 12 Big Horn Sheep run across the bridge and then run up the hill.
So, there is a multi-million dollar bridge that is used exclusively by Big Horn Sheep.
It does make you wonder how they learned about the bridge since there are no other bridges between Kingman and the Hoover Dam and why do they use as opposed to jumping over the fences and cross the highway at any point, in the mountain areas between Hoover Dam and past Willow Beach.
So, next time you see that bridge, it is for the Big Horn Sheep to cross.

Prayers Please

Tomorrow, my wife is undergoing surgery to amputate a toe because of a bone infection on her toe, and hopefully, it will only be a toe and not the foot.
She has had previous problems with anesthesia, in fact has coded on previous surgeries, so this will not be an easy surgery.
And my wife has learned a valuable lesson- take care of your diabetes or it will catch up to you.  If you have diabetes or know someone who does,  please keep it under control.
I am going to have to travel from Kingman, AZ to Las Vegas several times this week, a 200 mile round trip, so time will be limited.
It will be a stressful week at the house, so if blogging is a little light, that will be the reason.
Update: The surgery went quite well.

Another Stupid Editorial From The Las Vegas Sun

You got to hand it to the editorial writers at the Las Vegas Sun.  They try and try and try to make sense and the harder they try, the more they make fools of themselves.  Sunday's editorial focuses on gun violence.
From the Sun: The accidental death of a firearms instructor who was showing a 9-year-old girl how to fire an Uzi was tragic. And sadly, it unleashed many of the same old arguments over guns.
We’d like to see an open and honest discussion on firearms in the United States based in facts, versus the closed-minded shouting that dominates the debate now. Many gun control advocates seem to think that limiting all but a few guns is the solution, and on the other side, there are gun advocates who say the nation needs more guns.
We don’t believe the answer will be found when positions are so polarized. Take away all the nation’s guns? Seriously? Arm everyone? Even children?
The nation needs to find common ground, and people need to cut through the hyperbole and misrepresentations.  http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2014/sep/14/its-time-honest-discussion-about-guns-america/
First, we have had discussions about guns and gun violence for years and years.  The Sun editorial writers don't like how the discussions have turned out so they want to try and have another discussion, like the results would be any different.
And this, from my comments on the editorial:
Where is most of the gun violence? In the inner cities and ghettos of America.
And when was the last time you saw Obama, Holder, Jackson, Sharpton, ministers etc go to inner cities to condemn the violence?
Ask Steven Horsford when was the last time he really spoke out about gun violence in the inner city of Las Vegas, how about Harry Reid, Dina Titus, Mark Amodei, Joe Heck and Dean Heller.  How about Carolyn Goodman, the Clark County Commissioners and the City of Las Vegas city council?
How about the ministers of Vegas?  Where are they?  The business owners?
The Las Vegas Sun- when did they last do an editorial about Black on black crime or on gang violence?
When these people decide to actually care about gun violence, maybe I will listen, but they don't care, so they can just shut up.
I am not a gun fanatic.  I don't own guns and when I have shot a gun/shotgun/rifle I am a terrible shot, so I don't have a pony in this argument.
But I have seen, from news articles, that guns do save lives when they are used for self protection.
For the big guns, like Uzi's and other large guns, who am I to say that someone should not be able to possess guns?
But I do know that the liberals who want to restrict gun rights won't do anything about gun violence in the inner cities, and they do absolutely nothing about black on black crime.
Why is that?

Elections Have Consequences

President Obama has now put more Democrats Federal Court of Appeals and now there are more Democrats than Republicans on these courts.
From the NY Times: Democrats have reversed the partisan imbalance on the federal appeals courts that long favored conservatives, a little-noticed shift with far-reaching consequences for the law and President Obama’s legacy.
For the first time in more than a decade, judges appointed by Democratic presidents considerably outnumber judges appointed by Republican presidents. The Democrats’ advantage has only grown since late last year when they stripped Republicans of their ability to filibuster the president’s nominees.  http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/14/us/politics/building-legacy-obama-reshapes-appellate-bench.html?src=twr&_r=0
There are some conservatives out there that are hand wringing about this but I'm not one of those.
Elections have consequences.  For 2 elections uin a row, we have elected Obama and that is one of the perks of the job- he earned the right to appoint judges.
And the Republicans could have knocked out more than a few bad nominees, but they didn't.
So, if there is blame for the democrats having more judges on the Appeals Court, there is only one party to blame and that is the Republicans.
And the next president probably will be able to appoint at least 2 liberal Supreme Court judges.
And if they lose in 2016, then there are going to be more Democrat judges and the GOP will be to blame.

I Thought ObamaCare Was Supposed To Take Care Of This?

For a third time since ObamaCare went into effect, a member of the family had to go to the emergency room for emergency care (asthma, juvenile kidney stone pain etc.)
Each time we went, the emergency rooms were packed, especially today, at noon and on a Sunday.
I have also talked to emergency room workers in different cities and different hospitals and they all say they have not noticed a decrease in emergency room traffic, in fact, in some cases, the ER is seeing more patients.
Now, this is anecdotal evidence, but I have not seen any data saying emergency room traffic is down.
And looking at fire department statistics from fire department web sites I have visited, probably about 200 in the past 3 months, from the data that is relevant, ambulance runs are up, sometimes significantly.
We were told that ObamaCare would reduce the number of emergency room visits because more people would have insurance and they would visit urgent care or their own doctor.
I guess not.
Another failure, from my eyes, of ObamaCare.

From Philly.com: A man was killed early Saturday morning in Valley Forge National Historical Park, police said, electrocuted while apparently trying to steal copper wiring.
The Norristown man, 41, whose identity was not released pending family notification, was shocked around 4 a.m. at the Kennedy Supplee Mansion, 1700 South Trooper Road, inside the park in Upper Merion Township. Officers responding to a 911 call from the victim's friend found the unconscious victim partially inside a 4,100-volt electrical junction box on the front lawn, Upper Merion Township Police said in a news release.
After PECO shut off electricity to the box, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
He had apparently been trying to steal copper wiring, police said. The man's friend, the 911 caller, was cooperating with police and the investigation was ongoing Saturday afternoon, police said.

Last words" "Gee, that wire won't hurt me". Then Zap.

ObamaVille Retirees Have To Go ObamaCare

Sadly, this is not surprising.
From the Chicago Sun Times: Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Friday dropped another financial bombshell on Chicago’s 25,000 retired city workers and their dependents: their monthly health insurance premiums will  be going up by a whopping 40 percent — in spite of a pending lawsuit and a precedent-setting Illinois Supreme Court ruling.
Last year, Emanuel announced plans to save $108.7 million a year by phasing out the city’s 55 percent subsidy for retiree health care and forcing retirees to make the switch to Obamacare.
For the city, the Year One savings was $25 million. For retirees, that translated into an increase in monthly health insurance premiums in the 20 percent and 30 percent-range.On Friday, city retirees and their dependents got hit again — only this time, even harder. The city notified them of a 30-percent to 40-percent increase that will cost most of the retirees between another $300 to $400 a month.
The increase stunned Clinton Krislov, an attorney representing retirees in a marathon legal battle against the city and not only because health care costs appear to be “flattening,” as he put it.
What’s even more surprising is the fact that Emanuel is forging full-speed ahead with his phase-out of the 55 percent city subsidy, in spite of a July court ruling that could tip the scales against the city.  http://politics.suntimes.com/article/chicago/emanuel-socks-city-retirees-40-percent-health-insurance-hike/fri-09122014-700pm
Obviously, Emmanuel wants more people on ObamaCare as he is a huge supporter of it and he will break the Chicago's promise to their retirees of providing the healthcare.
And Obama and his ilk said that people can keep their insurance and their doctors.
Tell that to the Chicago retirees.

Guns Save Another Life By Killing A Thug

A gunman demanded money at a family-owned convenience store on Scranton Street in southeast Houston Friday night, and an employee shot him.
Thug Alive
A gunman demanded money at a family-owned convenience store on Scranton Street in southeast Houston Friday night, and an employee (left) shot him.
Thug Dead
From the Houston Chronicle:
Usman Seth was minding his family's convenience store on Scranton Street in southeast Houston when a man barged in just after 10 p.m. Friday.
He had a shotgun in hand, and demanded money.
Seth said the gunman first threatened his older sister at the cash register.
"I wanted to make the threat go away," said Seth, a 20-year-old who often works at the store.
It wasn't the first time robbers have targeted the store, which the family opened about three years ago after moving from New York, he said.
His father passed him a 9 mm Smith & Wesson handgun, he said, and he began shooting.
"My family - their lives - were in my hands," Seth said afterward. "I had to protect them."
Seth shot the would-be robber in the leg, but the man, dressed in black and wearing a mask, fired back at them.
"He kept threatening us," Seth said.
He said he kept shooting at the man, who by then had moved to the back of the store beside a Dr Pepper cooler, wounding him again and eventually killing him.
When first responders arrived minutes later and took off the man's mask, Seth and his family recognized him as a young Hispanic man who had been in the store half an hour earlier.  http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Store-owner-kills-would-be-robber-in-SE-Houston-5754139.php#photo-6861696
Luckily, the thug died so he is no longer a threat to this store or others, but his family, apparently thing this thug was actually good for society, keeps on making threat against the employees of the store.

Easy Pickings

From the NY Daily News:  A man-eating leopard in India is targeting drunks as they stumble home in the dark.
The big cat is believed to have killed 12 people in a Himalayan village since 2012.
Its latest victim was a 44-year-old man who was attacked on Thursday.
Villagers are said to be living in a state of fear that the leopard will attack again.
Local Madan Panerua told the Telegraph, "villagers are terrorized by the wild animals and it's almost impossible to venture out after dark. Moving from one village to another or to markets through forested area becomes difficult.
"People carry sticks with them and remain alert all the time. Many in the village believe that drunk people are easy prey for the wild."
Many of those who have been attacked by the leopard were savaged after they left an outdoor toilet.  http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/man-eating-leopard-attacks-drunks-heading-home-night-article-1.1938393
The rule of nature is that if you are being chased and you are with someone, all you have to do is outrun the slowest one and the slowest get eaten.
And if the leopard is only eating drunks, maybe the leopard has a drinking problem and has to go to AA for drunk leopards.
And luckily, a picture of the leopard was found and it is a picture of a hung over leopard:

The Diffrnce Between A Leader And Someone Who Doesn't Care

Tonight, the muslin terrorist ISIS (what a girlie name for a terrorist group) group cut off the head of a British aid worker.
From the NY Daily News:
The Islamic State savages have struck again.
The brutal band of Sunni jihadists released a video Saturday showing the beheading of a British aid worker — a cold-blooded execution his nation’s Prime Minister David Cameron labeled “an act of pure evil.”
The gruesome 2-minute, 27-second clip shows David Haines, 44, kneeling on a sandy hill while a black-clad executioner stands behind him clutching a knife.
Before he’s slain, Haines reads from a script, blaming Cameron for his murder. The setting and script are similar to those used in the beheadings of American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff.

And, so what does David Cameron, British Prime Minister, do:
Cameron said the execution of Haines was “despicable and appalling.”
He added, “My heart goes out to the family of David Haines who have shown extraordinary courage and fortitude throughout this ordeal."
“We will do everything in our power to hunt down these murderers and ensure they face justice, however long it takes.”
Downing Street announced early Sunday that Cameron will preside over an emergency meeting of his top security officials to discuss Britain’s next step.
David Cameron calls an emergency meeting of his security officials.
President Obama, after a journalist lost his head, went golfing after reading a statement.
One is a leader.
One is a do-nothing president who doesn't really care about what is going on.  And you can see what has happened after Obama's big speech last week- the White House, military and the diplomats really don't know what is going on because there is no leadership at the top.
And where is Joe Biden?  He was supposed to be the expert on these matters.

I've Never Seen This In A Music Review

I read a lot of newspapers online and more than a few music reviews and the tonight's review had the playlist of the songs of Foster the People (who?) and they also included most of the songs on the playlist so you can listen to  them, from Spotify.  the review and songs are at the link: http://www.jsonline.com/entertainment/musicandnightlife/foster-the-people-at-the-raves-eagles-ballroom-b99347381z1-275038391.html
And the free music comes from a newspaper that limits the number of times you can read articles on their web site.
Seems to be a bit hypocritical of the paper that they allow you listen to someone songs for free but yet charge you after 10 articles of their content.
But then again, maybe Foster the People need people to listen to their songs for free.

Ugliest Couple Of The Year?

Spokane County Deputy Prosecutor Marriya Wright has resigned after sending Matthew Baumrucker, above, a convicted felon, text messages and a bikini photo.

It's not known which bikini photo Marriya Wright (pictured) sent a felon, but here she is at a body building competition in 2010.
From he NY Daily News: The bikini-clad Washington state prosecutor that sent a felon thousands of text messages has resigned following allegations she helped him hide from police.
Marriya Wright’s attorney turned in a letter of resignation to her Spokane County bosses Wednesday after spending nearly five months on administrative leave for having an inappropriate relationship with a self-described criminal, according to a Spokesman-Review report.
The investigation was sparked by a bikini photo of Wright discovered in a jail cell belonging to Michael Baumrucker, 31, a convicted felon with the word “criminal” tattooed on his shaved forehead, a booking photos shows.
Court documents unsealed last week show Baumrucker called Wright and sought help while evading Spokane Police officers hunting him down on drug and assault charges.  http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/wash-prosecutor-resigns-investigation-relationship-felon-article-1.1936366
So, for the female, you are going to lose your job over this POS?  Your job and career is worth less than this tattooed POS?
Maybe those steroids are affecting your brain?

So, Who Is The Broad Coalition Obama Is Talking About?

So, who is the broad coalition President Obama has been talking about?
Germany and Britain are out.
Canada has not been heard from.
Turkey, a NATO ally has said their air bases are off limits, so they are not in.
So, who is left?
Outer Mongolia?
Rwanda?
Lichtenstein?
Vatican City?
Monaco?
North Dakota? (Oh wait, they have nukes and B-52 bombers, so they are out)
Funny, hardly anyone is running to Obama's aid and willing to provide support.
Actually, it is not funny, it's actually pathetic.
And when will the bombings start?
When Bush declared war on Iraq, bombings were dropping as he spoke.
With Obama, we have to wait.

Yes, He Should Have Been Charged

Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings has been charged for spanking his kid with a tree branch that caused cuts and bruises on the 4 year old child's butt and other body parts.
From ESPN: Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson has been indicted by a Montgomery County, Texas, grand jury on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. The team deactivated him for Sunday's home game against the Patriots....
The Houston station, citing law enforcement sources, said Peterson told police that the incident -- he referred to it as a "whooping" -- occurred in Spring, Texas, in May as punishment for his son pushing another one of Peterson's children. The boy suffered cuts and bruises to areas including his back, buttocks, ankles and legs.   http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11514522/adrian-peterson-minnesota-vikings-indicted-child-case
If the allegations are true, then he went a bit overboard.
I have no problem with kids being spanked.
However, when you leave cuts and bruises, especially on a 4 year old, you went to far.
Should Peterson be sent to prison?  No.
Should he get some training on how to punish kids? Yes.
Should his conviction be stricken from his record?  Not sure.
But if the allegations are true, he does need some help on how to punish a kid, especially young kids.  Leaving cuts and bruises is not going to solve a behavior problem, just make them worse.

That's Going To Leave A Mark

Apparently, the hitter turned into the pitch instead of trying to get out of the way because the hitter thought a different pitch was coming.
The hitter received several facial fractures, dental damage and cuts and bruises.
The next pitch to the next hitter hit the batter on the wrist, starting a bench clearing brawl.
But on the bright side, the Brewers won, 4-2.
From ESPN:  For the first time in more than two weeks, the Milwaukee Brewers were able to win two games in a row.
Yet the only topic anyone was talking about was the beaning of Miami Marlins star Giancarlo Stanton, hospitalized after getting hit by a fastball from Mike Fiers.
Stanton sustained multiple facial fractures, dental damage and cuts that needed stitches after being struck in a 4-2 loss to the Brewers.
Marlins manager Mike Redmond said Stanton, the major league RBI leader and a top candidate for the NL MVP award, likely was done for the season.
Fiers hit Reed Johnson in the hand with his next pitch, and that triggered a bench-clearing brawl.
Fiers said he did not want to get into what happened after Johnson was hit.
"It was heat of the moment stuff," Fiers said. "I just want to make sure that Stanton is OK. I just want to send my thoughts and prayers and everything to Stanton."
"You never think of throwing at somebody like that. Never in my life has that happened. I just feel very, very sad that I hit him. I'm sorry to their teammates, their fans, his family. It is just tough."
The Brewers gained some momentum in the playoff race after they lost 13 of 14 to fall out of the NL Central Lead. The Brewers are 1 1/2 games behind Pittsburgh for the second NL wild-card spot.
Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy said Fiers was trying to get a fastball up to Stanton.
"(Fiers) gets a lot of (strikeouts) on fastballs up, and the ball just got away from him," he said. "You saw what happened. It was definitely a scary moment. You never wish that on anybody. It's just a freak accident."
Johnson said the injury was devastating to the Marlins.
"The reason it's a tough one is we've probably lost the MVP of the National League for the rest of the year," he said. "I've been around for a couple of those. I saw it with Marlon Byrd and Jason Heyward. It's obviously going to take time to get him back."  http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=340911108

That Darn Climate Change/Global Warming

Currently, there are 12 states in the lower 48 states that are under some kind of winter weather warning or advisory.
The map above will change by the morning because it is an interactive map.
So, 12 states, 1/4 of all states in the lower 48, are experiencing very cold weather on September 11, 2014 and some of the snow/freeze are historic, as in the first measurable snowfall in 125 years.
Yep, that global warming is really happening...not.
But yet supposedly smart people believe in global warming, like Obama, Reid, Bush, Gore, 99.99% of liberals.  These people are idiots but they make a ton of money off of global warming, or their friends do.
Just more evidence of the fraud called global warming.

Here Comes Tesla To Nevada

Image result for picture of tesla car
The lawmakers in Nevada have approved all the tax breaks needed to bribe Tesla, the electric car maker, to build a huge battery plant near Reno.
From the Reno Gazette Journal:
It's a deal.
The Nevada Legislature late Thursday approved the $1.25 billion deal brokered by Gov. Brian Sandoval to bring Tesla Motors' $5 billion battery gigafactory to Northern Nevada.
Both the Senate and Assembly unanimously approved the deal, strung together with four bills including the marquee measure, Senate Bill 1. Sandoval then signed the legislation by 10:17 p.m. Thursday, sealing the deal.
SB1 gives Tesla about $1.25 billion in tax abatements in exchange for Tesla investing $3.5 billion in the state within the first 10 years of the agreement. It passed the Senate with a 21-0 vote.
No senator spoke about the bill before the vote was taken, except for Senate Majority Leader Mo Denis, D-Las Vegas. A handful of Assembly members spoke in favor of the legislation before the final vote was taken.
The magnitude of the deal was not lost of lawmakers. Many see the agreement just the beginning of a huge change in Northern Nevada that will affect the region's infrastructure, including roads and schools.  http://www.rgj.com/story/news/2014/09/11/end-sight-tesla-deal-passes-senate-assembly-next/15494329/?con
Will this be a good deal for Nevada?  I honestly don't know and we won't know for years to come.
In the beginning, Nevada will take a hit before Tesla, but what happens when things go bad?
The economy may tank and the expensive car sales will go way down, then what happens if Tesla walks away from the factory?
What happens if they hire only a small fraction of employees Tesla and the factory is smaller than expected?
In the perfect world, this will be great for Nevada.
However, Nevada and local governments have fell for projects that seem too good to be true and these projects have failed.
Hopefully, this project will work and many other factories and businesses will follow Tesla.
Time will tell.

New Poll Up

Image result for picture of matt kenseth car
So, who will win the NASCAR championship?
16 drivers/teams are in the running but only 1 driver/team will win in November and in Homestead, Florida.
So, who will win?  My choice, and I am a homer, is Wisconsin native, Matt Kenseth.  He is one of the most consistent drivers out there and he is due for a win or two.
The Chase starts this weekend in suburb of Chicago and there is a couple of elimination rounds, where they will eliminate drivers until there are 4 drivers left to fight it out, winner take all in Homestead on November 16.

Another Ann Coulter Masterpiece

Ann Coulter's sexy smile
From Ann Coulter.com: President Obama now says he will wait until after the November elections to implement an "executive amnesty" for 11 million illegal aliens, so as not to hurt Democrats' chances this year.
Instead of waiting to be enraged in December, voters, could you please be enraged now? Once the holiday season kicks off, you'll be too busy going to parties and Christmas shopping to notice that you're suddenly living in Mexico.
Getting Obama to postpone a rancid idea isn't something to celebrate. Yay! We did it! We forced him to delay doing something the country doesn't want for SIX WEEKS! Every Republican candidate better be jamming Obama's threat down the throats of their Democratic opponents.
Obama is claiming to have the powers of a dictator. Amnesty was considered by Congress, but -- here's the important thing: It didn't pass. It only passed the Senate, with the votes of all Democrats and 14 not-bright Republicans. After that, widespread public revulsion prevented Marco Rubio's amnesty bill from even being considered in the House.
But according to Obama, the only reason illegals haven't already been given amnesty is that Congress is not "doing its job."
What does Obama imagine Congress' "job" is? Being his errand boys? Their job is to represent their districts. I promise you, House members are doing a better job representing their districts than at least a dozen senators are at representing their states -- or than Obama is doing representing the country. It's called the "People's House" for a reason.
Noticeably, every Republican senator running for re-election this year claims to oppose amnesty -- even the ones who voted for it. (Let's hope they remember how unpopular mass immigration is when it's time to vote, not just when they're running.)
Obama's base isn't even looking for representation. We could have a 1929-level stock market crash, Obama could commit a murder on the White House lawn -- and they would still support the first minority president!

But Obama says he can do whatever he wants on immigration because it's "a serious issue and Congress chooses to do nothing."
If bills became law provided only the Senate and president agreed, the Nicaraguan Contras would have been funded out of the U.S. Treasury, Reagan would have gotten his MX missiles in 1982 and the Soviet Union would have fallen five years sooner, school busing would have been eliminated without waiting for the courts to act a decade later, and most of George W. Bush's tax cuts would have been made permanent. In all those cases, a president wanted to do something -- and the Senate agreed! But the House said no, so it never happened.
Obama can't ignore the House and make amnesty happen either. That's why he's talking about an "executive amnesty," which sounds like the top-tier donation category at one of the 4 million fundraisers Obama has held since becoming president, where the dinner starts at $25,000 per couple and you might bump into Jay-Z in the men's room. Actually, it just means Obama publicly, openly, officially stops enforcing immigration law.
Except in his own mind, Obama can't make illegals legal. But he can direct the entire immigration apparatus of the federal government to act as if amnesty has passed. The theory is that once they've been treated as if they're legal for a few years, it's a fait accompli, and no future president will resume enforcement of the law.
Although consistent with historical practice, it's not where the country is at all. This election is our first referendum on amnesty.
Not only do we have Obama's promise that he'll refuse to execute the law -- it's not as if he took some kind of oath, after all -- but there's good reason to believe him: After this election, he's got nothing to lose. Democrats will have two years to sign up 30 million illegal immigrants for Social Security benefits, food stamps and voting cards.
There is no more important political issue than this: Republicans must take the Senate this year.
You know how much you've been enjoying the courts overturning state referendums prohibiting gay marriage? Get ready for a lot more of your hard-won political victories to be nullified by the courts if Republicans don't take a Senate majority.
Remember how the Supreme Court upheld Obamacare on a 5-4 vote? Obama could have a shot at replacing another Supreme Court justice in the next two years. As a senator, he voted against both of Bush's nominees, so he can't very well complain if Republicans reject his loony-bird nominees.
Have you heard about the federal judge conspiring with Attorney General Eric Holder and the ACLU to bring deported illegal aliens back from Mexico? Yes, he's bringing them back. That judge, John A. Kronstadt, can't be impeached unless Republicans take the Senate.
With Republican majorities in both the House and Senate, Congress should just keep passing bills and sending them to the White House -- or whatever golf course Obama's on, busily not executing the law. If Obama vetoes their bills, Republicans can denounce him as a "do-nothing" president.
And keep in mind, this election will determine whether President Ted Cruz or President Mitt Romney will have a Republican Congress in 2017. They won't -- unless Republicans win every possible Senate race this year. The Senate seats up for election two years from now are not nearly as favorable to Republicans as the Senate seats up this year.

What surprises me is of the democrat's key voting constituency: Blacks, unions, government workers and service workers, all but government workers will be severely affected by the huge influx of illegals.  The illegals will take away jobs from the Blacks and service workers and drive down wages for the union workers and these idiots support Obama because.... they are really, really stupid and Obama is Black and liberal.

Wag The Dog

Image result for picture of dog tail
Wag The Dog: To 'wag the dog' means to purposely divert attention from what would otherwise be of greater importance, to something else of lesser significance. By doing so, the lesser-significant event is catapulted into the limelight, drowning proper attention to what was originally the more important issue.
The expression comes from the saying that 'a dog is smarter than its tail', but if the tail were smarter, then the tail would 'wag the dog'.
  http://www.usingenglish.com/reference/idioms/wag+the+dog.html
President gives a pretty bad speech regarding Isis, the muslim terrorist organization, which, according to Obama, is not muslim.  Umm, ok.  Muslims have been committing all kinds of atrocities throughout the centuries and there are still muslims committing horrible crimes in the name of islam.  The muslims who kidnapped the girls in Nigeria and whose cause Michelle Obama championed and now the girls are forgotten by Obama and the democrats.
Anyways, Obama is going through the motions on this war thing and is diverting attention away from many things that are going on in this country.
Like immigration.  Obama is about sign executive orders after the elections to most likely grant amnesty to the illegals: past, present and future.  Obama actions are highly unpopular with Americans, so this war thing will divert attention away from this unpopular action by Obama.
The border and the illegal children living here.  Another Obama failure that will be hidden from view once the bombing starts.
Michelle Obama's failed school lunch program of giving kids sticks of wood to eat instead good hot lunches.  More and more schools are doing away with the federal lunch program, thousands up thousands fewer kids are eating school lunch because of Obama.  This failed liberal policy will be hidden once the bombs drop.
The poor economy also will be kicked to back burner.  With the exception of the stock market, the rest of the economy is still bad, with massive unemployment, record numbers of people not working, massive amount of people on government welfare (and businesses as well) and a huge amount of people who live in poverty.  While the liberal media says everything is going just great, the reality is that we are very close to another disaster in the economy.
ObamaCare: Need I say more?  And thousands more will lose their  insurance before the elections.
The elections are coming up and Obama will probably start a big bombing campaign just before the November elections to get support for the democrats.
So, like most other programs Obama has started and mostly failed at, the programs were done for political reasons.
And so will this war against the muslim terrorist group, isis.
So, Obama will be wagging his doggy big time in the next few weeks.

Never Forget: September 11, 2001

Never forget.
Never forget those who died in the muslim terrorist attack.
Never forget the firefighters and police officers who ran into the buildings to save thousands of people.
Never forget those brave people on the airplanes and died because of muslims.
Never forget those who died at the Pentagon, who were just doing their jobs.
Never forget the military and non-military personnel who died going after the muslim terrorists.
Never forget those military and non-military personnel who were severely serving their country.
Never forget the politicians who made the ultimate call to go to war against the muslim terrorists, that made us safe from further big attacks.
Never forget that few muslims condemned the attacks and some actually cheered.
Never forget those politicians who have downplayed terrorist attacks in the U.S., like the Fort Hood shootings, and said they were just criminal behavior.
Never forget.

That Darn Global Warming

From The Havre Daily News:
National Weather Service has issued a winter storm advisory for north-central Montana in the waning days of summer.
The Weather Service put out a warning this morning, effective through noon Thursday, for much of the state, with a stronger warning along the Rocky Mountain Front and through Cascade, Judith Basin and Meagher counties and between Bozeman and Red Lodge.
Up to a foot of snow is expected in the mountains in those regions.
In north-central Montana, Hill and Blaine counties are part of a winter weather advisory that predicts up to an inch of snow in Havre and Chinook and that the Bear Paw Mountains could see up to six inches of snow.
The advisory says rain and snow would fall through the morning, turning to all snow by the afternoon.
The National Weather Service forecast for the rest of the week calls for mostly sunny skies with highs in the 40s to 60s and lows in the 20s tonight and Thursday night and 30s through the weekend.
Snow already has hit the state, mainly in the mountains, in a topsy-turvy year for weather.
After a wet fall in 2013, much of the state dried out through the winter. North-central through north-eastern Montana were among the wettest parts of the state.
Early spring was cool and dry, slowing crop development in the area, then heavy precipitation hit again starting in the middle of June. Precipitation continued to fall, mainly spotty but heavy in some areas, with a several-day storm in August dropping heavy precipitation, including setting some new records.
That storm led to some state flood disasters, including for Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, and further delayed the already late harvest.  http://havredailynews.com/story/2014/09/10/local/winter-warning-in-the-summer/500162.html
Just more evidence of the fraud that is called global warming.

Idiot

From the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune:  A 68-year-old farmer accused of killing eight three-day-old puppies with a sledgehammer is facing felony charges in Marathon County Circuit Court.
Terrence Seubert of Dorchester is charged with eight counts of mistreatment of animals causing death, according to court records.
He told police he had no idea his Blue Heeler dog was going to have puppies until 10 were born, according to court documents. Two died from unknown causes before Seubert is accused of killing the other eight.
Seubert said he did not want a lot of dogs running around the farm and asked a lot of people whether they wanted them but found no takers, according to the documents. The caretaker of a farm on the property where the incident allegedly occurred told Seubert that the caretaker had found homes for most of the puppies either with the caretaker or the caretaker's brother up the road.
Seubert said he distracted the mother dog with food, gathered the puppies into a bucket and brought them to a shed next door. There, he hit them over the head with a sledgehammer and then placed them in a bucket  of water, where he left them for about 20 minutes, according to court documents.
Seubert told police he thought the price quoted by a local veterinarian for spaying or neutering was too high. He said that was the first time he had euthanized puppies, according to court documents.  http://www.wisconsinrapidstribune.com/story/news/local/2014/09/10/man-accused-killing-puppies-sledgehammer-charged/15422617/
A couple of thoughts.  My guess this guy has been farming and that is how they used to kill unwanted animals, especially cats and dogs, so in his mind, he didn't do anything wrong.
And in his mind, he didn't do anything different than what a vet would do in putting down unwanted dogs.  The puppies probably didn't suffer much and when dogs and cats are put down in the pound, they don't suffer much either.
But these are different times and killing puppies this way is wrong.  I don't think he should get prison time, unless he has a criminal record we don't know about, but he should get some kind of punishment

They Are Getting Long In The Tooth

From ESPN: With neither Tiger Woods nor Phil Mickelson qualifying for the Tour Championship for the first time in more than two decades, it might signal a changing of the guard, especially now that Rory McIlroy has emerged as a solid No. 1 in the world.
McIlroy, 25, wasn't willing to go that far Wednesday, but he did acknowledge that time and injuries are catching up to the two superstars.
"They're just getting older," McIlroy said Wednesday at East Lake Golf Club. "Phil's 43 or whatever [actually 44], and Tiger's nearly 40 [39 in December]. So they're getting into the sort of last few holes of their careers, and that's what happens.
"It obviously just gets harder as you get older. I'll be able to tell you in 20 years how it feels."  http://espn.go.com/golf/story/_/id/11499268/rory-mcilroy-says-tiger-woods-phil-mickelson-getting-sort-last-holes-their-careers
I've have said for many years that Tiger won't anymore majors and I am at the point where he may not win another tournament, unless it is a minor league event or an overseas event.
Phil may win another tournament or two but not many more.
Both are old by professional athlete standards, golfers are in better shape than in the past and both players have injuries that limit their golfing ability.
The days of golfers playing into their late 40's are pretty over, even in Phil's and Tiger's case where they had great careers.
So, to Tiger and Phil, it will be nice to see you on the senior tournament and the other tournaments, but in the winner's circle, I doubt it.

Bush Was Right

Bush nailed this 100%.
Obama, unfortunately, did not listen.
And now people are dying because of Obama.
Obama thought that winning the presidency was all fun and games.
He could party.
He could go golfing.
He could go on vacations.
He didn't realize that you actually had do some hard work.

How Can You Trust Him?

I watched the Obama speech today on the terrorist group, Isil.
If Obama had creditability, the speech would be about D+.
He looked bugged eyed and instead of saying "Me" or "I", he used the word "We", but the meaning was clear- he meant "I".
He didn't put the fear of God into Isil.
His plan is not realistic.  Bombing is not a way to win wars and that has been shown throughout history.  It may cause some deaths and damage, but it won't win the war.
On the plus side, Obama did say he will go after Isil and destroy it.
But it will take time and probably will be up to the next president to finish the job.
But Obama has no creditability, therefore the speech was an F.
Obama has pretended to talk tough in the past (line in the sand) and lied.
He has no creditability with our allies.
Who are our allies?   We don't know.  What will our allies do?  If our troops are not on the ground, who will be.  What happens if a fighter jet goes down, who will be responsible for the rescue if we don't have troops on the ground.
Our allies don't trust Obama and John Kerry.  Remember Spygate?  Will world leaders trust Obama and Kerry after they have had spied on them?
Finally, after the speech, did Obama go bowling, since it was too dark to play golf or did he throw a party?
After 6 years in office, Obama has caused the Isil mess in Syria and Iraq and his foreign policy has been a joke.
And I am afraid, he will just ignore this problem, like he has done all other major problems and he hopes the problem will go away.

No Need To Apoligize To Racist Reid

From the LVRJ:  For a change, Sen. Harry Reid found himself Tuesday on the receiving end of another politician’s verbal miscue.
Reid demanded an apology after Louisiana Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy told a reporter Reid “runs the Senate like a plantation.” Cassidy is running for the Senate against Sen. Mary Landrieu and is trying to tie the incumbent to the Senate majority leader from Nevada and to President Barack Obama whenever possible.
“So instead of the world’s greatest deliberative body, it is his personal, sort of, ‘It goes if I say it does, if not it stops,’ Cassidy said of Reid. “Senator Landrieu’s first vote for him to be re-elected means that every other wish for a pro-oil and gas jobs bill is dead. Reid will never allow a pro-oil and gas jobs bill.”
Cassidy’s remark in an interview was published Tuesday by E&E Daily, an energy and environment news site. It triggered a response from Reid.
“With all the things going on in America today, that’s fairly insensitive. That’s really insensitive. Very insensitive,” Reid told reporters. “And if there were ever a statement that deserved an apology, this is it big time.  http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/nevada/reid-demands-apology-time
Oh, grow up you wimpy senile moron coward disgraceful POS.
Coward/Senile Reid, you need to apologize for stealing air from the rest of the air breathers on Earth.
You need to apologize to the people of Nevada for all the unemployment you have personally caused.
You need to apologize for being the water boy for President Obama and for all the liberal policies that have failed.
Quite frankly, you need to apologize for being alive, but that may take it just a very little to far, but I am not sure.
Just go away, senile Harry and thankfully in 2016, you will just be a horrible memory for the people of Nevada and the United States.
And no, there is no need to apologize to you for anything.  Grow a pair of balls, you wimpy POS.

This Is Cool

From the San Fran Chronicle: Actor Bill Murray turned taxi driver for a night last week after he took over the wheel so his Oakland, Calif., cabbie could practice his saxophone skills.
The star made the revelation during an appearance at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada on Friday, which organizers had named Bill Murray Day, when he recalled how his cab driver on Thursday night had mentioned he was a saxophone player.
He explained, “I said, ‘When do you practice?’ He said, ‘I drive 14 hours a day.’”
The response prompted Murray to offer to swap places with the taxi driver, who agreed to perform for the movie star from the backseat of the car.
Murray continued, “Not only did he play all the way to Sausalito, which is a long way, we stopped and got barbecue. He (wound up) playing in what some would call a sketchy, weird place in Oakland at 2:15 in the morning… It was great and it made for a beautiful night!”  http://blog.sfgate.com/dailydish/2014/09/08/bill-murray-took-control-of-taxi-in-oakland-to-hear-drivers-sax-skills/
There are many celebrities and movie/TV stars who have an inflated ego, are prima donnas and divas.
And then you have celebrities who are down to earth and don't care who they hang out with, like Bill Murray.
And I am sure the taxi driver got a very nice tip.

Long Day Tomorrow

Image result for picture of judge

Tomorrow will be a long day as I have to drive (swim) back into Las Vegas to attend a Family Court hearing.
It concerns my ex-wife, who left the kids and I 3 days before Christmas, many years ago.  Since then, she has abandoned and/or kicked the kids out of her home on at least a dozen occasions and hasn't seen my daughter for 1 1/2 years and my son for 6 months, and another 6 months before that.  we have had the kids for about 90% of the time since the divorce was finalized and she has never paid child support because we never asked for it.
Now. she says I can't move to Arizona because she doesn't want me to.  Umm ok.
So, I have to take a day off of work and go to Family Court.
Not to suck up, but our judge is Judge Bill Henderson of the Clark County Family court and he has been extremely fair in our case.  Even though I have represented myself all these years and the ex mostly has had attorney's, he has treated me fairly and I have won most of the time.
And speaking of judges, because I have had to be in courtrooms in Family Court many times over the years, I have come to respect the judges.
Judges will never make anyone happy all the time and most cases will have a winner and a loser and someone will be pissed.
But the judges have to put up with the BS of lawyers, many who are full of crap and say things only because they are paid.  They also have to put up with people who have no idea what the law and they have to try and decipher what that person says.  And then you have to put with people who lie to get out of trouble or support their case.
They don't get paid a whole lot considering how much attorneys get paid, but of course, they do have power, a lot of power who can support a person or totally destroy a person with their rulings.
So, tomorrow will be a long day but hopefully, a successful day.
