Somedays You Just get Lucky

Some days you just get lucky. We knew NASCAR and it's stars were in town but I really wasn't paying attention.

In today's LVRJ had a story how the 12 drivers in the Chase were going to take a victory lap around the strip today. I called Cathy we decided to go.

We thought we were going to watch from the Paris because of good parking, but as we were going to Harmon, we were driving past the Hard Rock, we saw all the Coke and Sprint trucks and determined that is where the drivers may drive by.

We got down to the enterance and found out that is where the drivers would end.

So, we went to the fan experience and I found out they were going to have a show afterwards with the drivers and we lucky enough to get free tickets.

So, then the cars came and they were so close that we could almost touch the race cars and Denny Hamlin stopped directly in front of us., 5 feet in front of us with Carl Edwards just in back of him, with his engine smoking pretty bad.

We went to the NASCAR After The Lap Show it was a pretty funny Q&A show. Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson and Clint Bowyer are some pretty funny guys. But when you have to speak to sponsors, do commercials and many other speaking engagements, one of the requirements of a NASCAR driver nowdays is to be a good speaker.

So, it was a lucky day for us and it was a fun day and we got to meet people from all over the country.
