Nevada Democrat's Strategy

Patrick Coolican, a largely boring and not to bright liberal columnist for the Las Vegas Sun has shown us what the strategy will be by the Democrats to raise taxes.
Earlier this week, the liberals convinced Gov. Sandoval to pour any extra money the state receives through increased revenues into education. It doesn't matter if education deserves the money or not, it doesn't matter if there continues to be a great deal of waste of money in education, they screamed the loudest and they won. Because of that, there won't be any extra money for kids with autism, nursing home patients, hospitals, homeless, the poor.
Well, Coolican, feeling embolden a day after writing about how badly education is underfunded (it's not) is now on to his next cause- more money for health care.
From his article: With so much attention on how we’re going to improve our schools and universities by cutting their funding, there’s been too little focus on another policy miracle achieved by Gov. Brian Sandoval’s budget: Driving hospitals toward bankruptcy will improve health care.
That was sarcasm. The reality is, a cut to health care programs for the poor will wind up costing us all.
Let me explain.
Because we’re not a barbaric society — we’re not, are we? — we provide medical care for people who need it, and especially emergency care.
The problem, as always: How to pay for it? http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/may/06/cuts-medicare-and-medicaid-end-hurting-you-and-me/

So, start looking for the next battle cry of the Democrats- more money for hospitals and Medicare. The Democrats and the media will be pounding us in hopes that Sandoval and the GOP will cave. The problem is, the Democrats just saw Sandoval blink. Hopefully that blink was just a piece of sand in Sandoval's eye and nothing else.
