Apparently, the Las Vegas priest, Kevin McAuliffe, convicted in Federal court of stealing about $650,000 may be coming to Las Vegas.
According to the Las Vegas Diocese priest web page , they still have McAuliffe's picture and under his name, they list him as being suspended. Previously, it listed him as being on administrative leave.
So, why is McAuliffe even still on the priest web page to begin with? It is an insult to the other priests that have served the Diocese well. and is the Las Vegas Diocese planning on bringing back Mcauliffe instead of firing him. Further, why hasn't he been defrocked as a priest? Also, is he suspended with pay?
McAulife has been treated with baby gloves and has gotten away with his crime and it seems the Las Vegas Diocese is more pissed he got caught than actually punishing the man or making sure he doesn't come close to money.
I just think that still featuring McAuliffe on the web site of the Las Vegas Diocese is an insult to those of us who have attended his Church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and had money stolen by him.
I guess maybe I ought to stop donating at Church until they remove his picture from the web site.
