With about 70 laps to go in the NASCAR race at Richmond, Kyle Busch and team are choking and is about to lose the last spot for the Chase to Jeff Gordon.
When most drivers pitted during a short yellow for rain, Busch stayed out and the teams with fresh tires blew by him.
Then, when they pitted with 70 laps to go, his team blew the pit stop by not tightening the right rear tire properly.
With 60 laps to go, Gordon has the last Chase position, but things can certainly change.
And Kyle is swearing up a storm on his radio.
Update: With 33 laps to go, Busch is just ahead of Gordon in the point as Gordon had to make a late pit stop. Busch is leading by 2 points.
Update: With 17 laps to go, Jeff Gordon just took the points lead back as Gordon is 4th place and Busch is in 16th.
Update: Race is finished and Gordon gets the last place in the Chase and wins by about points as he finished 2nd.. Busch is quite pissed as he is refusing to speak to anyone, even his own crew while he finished 16th. don't blame him as his crew is the one blew it for him.
BTW, Clint Boyer won.
Ooops, Busch did speak for about 5 seconds and was angry, which I really can't blame him.
