Liar Liar, Pants On Fire

Some people, when given power, just don't want to let go.
From the LVRJ: The mayor's seat is one of three that will appear on the ballot in Henderson's municipal election this year. The others are the City Council seat for Ward 3, held by John Marz, and the Department 1 seat in Municipal Court, held by Mark Stevens....
The City Council appointed Marz a year ago to the seat vacated by embattled Councilwoman Kathleen Vermillion. At the time Marz said, "I absolutely am not going to run."
By making that commitment, Hafen said at the time, Marz opened the door for an open election that would give voters the chance to choose without giving an appointee the advantages that come with incumbency.
On Monday, Marz said he had no intention to run for the seat when he made his promise a year ago. In the past couple of months, however, several people have approached him and persuaded him to change his mind, he said.
"They felt that I had done a good job and that the council was running smoothly," said Marz, a marketing consultant.   http://www.lvrj.com/news/three-incumbents-will-try-to-keep-their-seats-in-henderson-election-186889772.html
What a liar.  Marz got some power, decided he liked it and now doesn't want to give up the power.  He ought to resign immediately.
