Las Vegas In Florida Weather Continues:

A severe thunderstorm packing heavy rain and lightning swept through Las Vegas this evening, causing power outages and flooding along parts of the Las Vegas Strip.
A severe thunderstorm warning for south central Clark County expired at 7:15 p.m.
“There’s not much else out there right now,” said Chris Stumpf, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service’s Las Vegas office. “All the rain is moving south into California.”
The storm produced rainfall totaling a half-inch near Nellis Air Force Base and three-quarters of an inch in Henderson, Stumpf said.
The rain knocked down some branches and caused minor street flooding, particularly on East Sahara Avenue and near Nellis, Stumpf said. The storm also caused brief power outages.

This past month to month and a half has been more like Florida weather.  Hot and sticky with pop up thunderstorms.
Talking to the locals who have lived here a long time, they have never seen a summer like this.
It started off very hot and then it cooled down with the monsoon and tropical weather.
We are seen vegetation that we haven't seen in August, like green grass, palm trees springing up out of no where, flowers galore and the only thing we are missing are the mosquitoes, knock on wood.
And so to those who believe in global warming, come to Las Vegas and see the cooler weather, the thunderstorms and some of the most magnificent sun sets and cloud formations you will ever see.
