Today was graduation day at DPHS and a handful of other CCSD high schools.
The graduation ceremony went off without a hitch due to the hard work of the administration, teachers, counselors and secretaries at our school. My four students with disabilities were treated with respect by the presenters and the crowd.
Unlike Bay View High School in Milwaukee,( http://folkbum.blogspot.com/ and http://www.todaystmj4.com/news/local/95921404.html )where there were major disruptions for a graduation, our students and guests were respectful to the speakers and to all graduates. The musicians that played were awesome and the speakers gave their best, getting emotional at times.
So, congratulations to the class of 2010 at DPHS. Good luck in the future and stay safe.
