Michelle Obama Visits Las Vegas To Talk About Youth Excerise And Goes Where?

Michelle Came To Las Vegas to talk to kids about exercise and talk about childhood obesity. Ok, no problem with that. Las Vegas kids can be fat if they don't exercise, even though Las Vegas also turns out their fair share of very good athletes, including some professional and soon to be professional athletes.
Ok, so, you would expect her to go to a community center where they have swimming pools, exercise rooms, some have running tracks, gyms and more? Wrong. Maybe to a local park where they have more exercise equipment, skateboard parks, and basketball courts? Wrong. Maybe to all the walking trails the Valley has to offer? Wrong Las Vegas is rich in parks, community centers, walking trails etc.. Most communities would die for everything the Las Vegas Valley has.
But where does Michelle Obama go? Red Rock Canyon. Red Rock Canyon? First, Red Rock is a very beautiful federal park just a few miles wets of Las Vegas. If you are ever in Las Vegas, it is a sight you have to see.
But Red Rock for kids? First, kids just can't go to Red Rock on their own. Too far away. Then, it is not a place kids should go on their own. They can hike, but unless you are say, 16 and older, kids should not go hiking by themselves. The kids that were Obama's props were bussed in from Las Vegas. This also true for Mount Charleston, which is another beautiful area that has a lot of hiking trails. Nice for kids, but difficult to get to and you need to go with your parents.
So, why didn't Obama go to a community center or park? Maybe for the beautiful background. Or maybe going to an inner city community isn't part of Michelle Obama's agenda and maybe those kids are not the kids Obama likes to hang with. Remember, when President made his last trip to Las Vegas, he also didn't visit any inner city organization or community center.
