Psychic Missing In Las Vegas

A psychic is missing in Las Vegas. According to KTNV, Channel 13, Las Vegas: A well-known psychic goes missing without a trace, and the bizarre circumstances surrounding her disappearance has family and friends worried about some frightening possibilities.
Investigators started searching for Internet talk show host Susan Paperno almost a week ago. Paperno was last seen on June 1st....Family members say police found Paperno's car still inside her garage along with her purse and her other belongings inside the Northwest Las Vegas home near Washington Avenue and Tenaya Way. Her niece says what's most strange is that investigators found Paperno's door left wide open.

I hope everything turns out well for the psychic and her family and she is safe somewhere. But if she is a psychic, shouldn't she have seen this coming?

  1. I am so tired of the old cliches about psychics, and particularly insensitive in this case: "shouldn't she have seen this coming"? This is just plain ignorance on "Dan's" part. Psychics are counselors who offer wisdom, guidance and possibilities for the future - they are not supernatural beings. The sixth sense is the "common" sense; everyone has it and everyone has hunches. But psychics are not necessarily always "on," especially when it comes to their own lives. They can be as dense as anyone else when it comes to seeing what is going to happen to them, personally. I mean, get a clue and learn to stop parroting the expected if you want to be a truly insightful (read: not boring) journalist.

  2. First, Martha, thanks for stopping by. My comment was done, tongue in cheek. However, in all seriousness, I also don't like the psychics who rip off people, saying they can tell the future or even worse, the psychics who perform on the Strip. They are rip offs. If they provide comfort to some people, so be it. Some of these psychics are no different than these so-called faith healers who rip off people in the name of religion.

  3. Dan,

Afew things you should know about Susan. First of all, she is a well respected, very authentic psychic.

I know her persnally. "Suzie" is a warm, sensitive, tolerant, lovely human being who cares for all people. She is loved by all who know her and we are all greatly concerned for her.

Her family members are frantic, living a nigtmare. Just as in any case of a missing person, concerns are for the person's well-being and what she has gone thru and may be continuing to go thru.

I am wondering about your experiences with psychics "on the strip" and how you have become such an authority on psychics.

Wouldn't good, and responsible journalism be aimed at gathering useful information to help find Suzie?

Research her and get her story out! Is she a "target" from a person who has the same negative view point as you? Instead of feeding into the negative concepts about physics, educate yourself and the public as to how psychics develop their talents which, by the way, scientific proof states we are all born with but few people develop.

And for all who reads this, please pass on safety awareness to all, especially females in your family.

When parking in your garage, make sure you take a moment before entering and after leaving your garage to look for strangers near by. One of the easiest way for an intruder to enter a home is thru the garage when the garage door is being raised.

When you shut your garage door after returning home, leave your car door locked while you prepare to go inside your home. Once inside your home, lock the door leading to the garage and leave it locked at all times.

    Everyone, be safe!

And Dan, remember everyone you comment on has many loved ones who are hurt by your comments. After all, how would your family and friends feel if something happened to you and the public opinion was "he deserved it for his harsh journalistic reporting"?

  5. "Psychic" Paperno has been located at a local Las Vegas hospital.

I agree with Dan. Psychics and astrologers are no better than shaman.
If there truly was a psychic gift, they'd all offer the same solutions.
It's not science; it's just silly.

AND....anyone who proposes someone commit suicide because they don't agree with someone else (ie, "swallow your tongue") is taking such silliness way too seriously.

  6. Thanks, anon, I'm glad she is safe. This post was done both tongue in cheek and also help publize her disappearnce. Finally, I am not a journalist. I have a little too much intergrity for that job.
