Harry Reid, using the race card today, brought in Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), a civil rights worker who happens to be black, to campaign for Reid in black neighborhoods of Las Vegas.
Let's see. John Lewis said that someone from the Tea Party called him the n-word as he was on his way to vote for Obamacare. Even though Andrew Breitbart offered a $10,000 reward for anyone to prove that someone uttered the n-word, no one has claimed the reward.
And John Lewis said this on the House floor: "Read the Republican contract," Lewis said on the House floor on March 21, 1995. "They're coming for our children. They're coming for the poor. They're coming for the sick, the elderly and the disabled." Lewis's comment paraphrased a famous passage by Rev. Martin Niemöller, who was in the resistance against the Nazis. Yep, that's intellectually honest, hey Rep. Lewis?
Lewis also tried to block a nomination because that an attorney had the nerve to go after corrupt friends of Lewis: "Georgia Rep. John Lewis, one of Washington's most prominent Democrats, called the White House earlier this year to try to block the appointment of a federal prosecutor who won convictions against more than a dozen public officials in Atlanta -- including former Mayor Bill Campbell, a longtime friend and ally of Mr. Lewis."

He also called for the impeachment of George W. Bush, which is quite stupid: Several Democratic lawmakers—including Michigan congressman John Conyers, California senator Barbara Boxer and Georgia congressman John Lewis—have openly discussed Bush’s impeachment, either for not telling the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, or for authorizing the National Security Agency (NSA) to wiretap the telephone calls and e-mails of Americans suspected of having terrorist ties. http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/2897/two_in_five_americans_would_impeach_bush/
I guess if you are going to impeach Bush, then you should also want to impeach Obama as he is continuing the war and continues the wire tap program. So far, Lewis has been silent in calling for the impeachment of Obama. I wonder why?
In 2004, Lewis wanted to disenfranchise voters from Ohio by not wanting their Electoral College votes counted.
No, Congressman Lewis is not like some other civil rights fighters in the 1960's. He is not like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who are money whores who were in the civil rights fights in the 1960's and 70's.
However, Lewis is no saint either. And Harry Reid is using race in his re-election bid. Just as Reid used race in his saying "I don't know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, OK. Do I need to say more?"
Yep, Harry Reid, you are too extreme for Nevada. Most residents have gotten over race, but not Harry Reid. He uses race every chance he gets, it appears. But hey, when you think Robert "KKK" Byrd is a role model, what do you expect?
