After the votes have been cast and the winners picked and losers lick their wounds. Of course, two days out, it is hard to predict most races, but it is easy to say who was the biggest loser in the 2010.
And the biggest loser is.... The Las Vegas Sun. There is no bigger loser than the Las Vegas Sun. They hitched their wagon to the Democrats and the status quo in Washington D.C. and Carson City and as we will probably see, they picked the wrong horses.
The Sun not only hired extremist liberal reporters to write articles for the election, they also wrote liberal blogs, most of the time smearing the line between articles and blogs. Their bias- Annjeanette Damon, Jon Ralston, Delen Goldberg and others were just horrific in their alleged reporting. The "journalists" are nothing but Sesame Street School of Journalism school dropouts who had an agenda and it showed in the "news articles". These "journalists" have to be at the bottom of their profession and only could be hired at bird cage liner newspapers like the Las Vegas Sun.
The editor, Brian Greenspun, just went unhinged. He now says, if you vote for Sharron Angle, you are stupid. Yeah, right Brian. And those who vote for Reid are what? Mensa members? Apparently, Greenspun is unaware that there are different sides to every issue and those who vote for Angle choose to think that the Country and especially, Nevada, would be better off without Harry Reid. I am pretty sure, his parents, who started and ran the Sun would be extremely disappointed in him as he has taken the low road in journalism. But on the other hand, the National Enquirer would be proud of him.
Jon Ralston resorted to lying and racism in his reporting. He continually lied for Harry Reid, from Scott Ashijan to reporting false poll numbers, in which he is doing again today, and resorted to racism in his reporting the Rory-Sandoval race.
So, the biggest loser of the election has to be the Las Vegas Sun. No other candidate for the title comes close.
