Scott Walker: 3 Years In College= Unschooled

Scott Walker is running for governor in Wisconsin and is kicking the Democrat's candidate, Tom Barrett, butt in the polls. Naturally, the liberals are going nuts. Just like the liberals are going nuts that their liberal candidates in Nevada are getting their butts kicked in the polls here.
Well, there is a liberal columnist, Chris Rickert, who writes for, I believe The Capitol Times in Madison, WI. and doesn't like the fact that Walker dropped out of college. He says this about Walker and his three years in college: "But not, apparently, if you want to be governor.
I don't think Walker or any candidate is unqualified just because he doesn't have a degree. Besides, Walker dropped out after three years at Marquette to take a good job. That's not exactly the same as quitting to go follow the Grateful Dead.
Rather, I'm disappointed there hasn't been much discussion about what it means to have an unschooled governor."

I don't know who this Chris Rickert is. Maybe he is a journalist, columnist or a bitter lefty or someone high on drugs. But three years at Marquette University, one of the finest colleges in Wisconsin and the country is not exactly unschooled. In addition, he didn't drop out because he wasn't making the grade, he dropped out to pursue a very good job.
But walker is in fine company of college and high school drop outs. Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Warren Buffet, Julie Andrews, Steve Martin and many, many more have not finished college. To find out more people who did not finish college: http://www.collegedropoutshalloffame.com/m.htm
So, maybe Mr. Rickert can come down out his ivy tower and realize it takes more than being a college graduate to succeed. Maybe Mr. Rickert is angry he hasn't succeeded yet life that he wants to take down people who are more successful than him, but have less formal education.
But whatever the reason, Chris Rickert is not an intelligent man, no matter what eduction he has.

  1. Your Heart is in Wisconsin? Really? Did you take anytime at all to do any research on Scott Walker? If you had you would realize the point Mr. Ricket was trying to make. No doubt many have dropped out from college and have been very successful. Unfortunately, Mr. Walker is not one of them. He may appear to be successful but a good look at his record tells a different story. As for the polls right now it's a dead heat between Barratt and Walker. Either one at this point could win. Many of us are wondering what Walker will do after the election? The county is doing away with his job and he may have to resign before that even happens. I'm sure he will find something in this economy. After all he has three years of college to fall back on.

  2. Yes, I know who Walker is. He is the GOP County Exectutive who has beat 2 or 3 Democratic candidates for County Exectutive in heavily Democratic Milwaukee County. So, if Walker is that dumb, what does that make the democrats?
And a 10 point lead in the polls equals a neck and neck race? Not on this plantet.

  3. I like how Chris Rickert labels himself @chrisrickertwsj on Twitter. He doesn't work for the WSJ that we all think of, though. He works for the Wisconsin State Journal. Nice trick!

Wonder what college he went to.

  4. Thanks Elaine for stopping by. I also wonder which college he went to as well to see how well schooled he is.
