This Didn't Take Long: Eric Scott's Family Sues

A Civil Rights lawsuit has been filed against Metro for the shooting death of Eric Scott.
From the LVRJ: Relatives of Erik Scott, a medical device salesman shot dead by Las Vegas police officers outside the Summerlin Costco store in July, have filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Metropolitan Police Department, Costco and individual employees of each...In the lawsuit, the Scott family alleges officers used excessive force, violating Scott's constitutional rights.

And within a year, the case will be settled for $1-2 million or so and there will be no trial. I doubt it will even go to the deposition stage.

We will never know what actually happened in this case, especially without the missing video from Costco.
