End Of The NFL Lockout In Two Days?

Could it be that the end of the NFL lockout is very close in hand, within two days? Well, judging from this article in the Wisconsin Rapids Tribune, the lockout could end as early as Thursday and perhaps earlier.
From the The Wisconsin Rapids Tribune: In yet another sign that the NFL is preparing for the owners lockout to end this week, the Green Bay Packers reportedly are getting word to their players to be in Green Bay for a meeting Saturday.
According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Packers have let their players know they’re opening their facilities Friday and that there will be a team meeting Saturday. The Packers’ training camp presumably will start a week later, on July 30, which is the standard starting date of 14 days before a team’s first preseason game.
Jason Wilde of ESPN Milwaukee said in his blog Monday that two club sources confirmed that the players have been told to be ready to report to the facility for a meeting on Saturday.
The NFL lockout wiped out the entire official offseason work schedule for NFL players, and the Packers’ actions suggests teams will be allowed to bring players in almost immediately after the league and players agree on a new collective bargaining agreement.

Hopefully, this is true, though part of me wants the lockout to continue for another week or so to help the Packers take advantage of other teams that are rebuilding or have new coaches. The longer the lockout the better for the Packers because of their experience and their cohesiveness.
But either way, we need to have NFL start training camp soon, so we can have something to look forward to in the fall and get our minds off the the USA women's World Cup loss this weekend. (just a little sarcasm)
