From the LVRJ: Henderson's human resources director is inadvertently starring in a
video that has provided new fuel this week for Mitt Romney's campaign.
The
low-quality video has been posted on the Internet and shows Human
Resources Director Fred Horvath telling employees that the cost of their
health insurance premiums will increase by about $500 a year because of
the federal health care law, commonly called Obamacare, signed into law
by President Barack Obama.
In the video, Horvath describes June
28 as a "date that will live in infamy." On that date, he says, the U.S.
Supreme Court validated the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
and "fundamentally changed how we are going to receive health care
benefits in this country going forward."
"The day of pull out your
card and pay a $15 co-pay, and that is all you have to think about when
it comes to health insurance, is probably over, and you're going to
have to absolutely become more astute consumers of the benefit," Horvath
says.
On Wednesday, Horvath told the Las Vegas Review-Journal he
made the comments last week during meetings with Henderson employees. He
said he intended to give them objective data about their medical
benefits.
"My comments had no political slant whatsoever," Horvath
said. The fact that he is a registered Republican "is nothing more than
a coincidence," he said. http://www.lvrj.com/news/romney-campaign-uses-henderson-official-s-comments-to-attack-federal-health-care-law-172584951.html
The guy speaks the truth. My own insurance, Teacher's Health Trust also has raised it's premiums and co-pays significantly, based a large part on ObamaCare.
You can't promise a bunch of free things and increase in coverage without prices rising and that is what ObamaCare does.
