What Does Hurricane Earl And President Obama Have In Common?

The national media is hyping the Hurricane Earl story and we will see hundreds of stories about Earl, even the effects of Earl will be small, in my humble opinion.
Earl has already been downgraded to a Hurricane 2 level. And it is raining. Whoopee. It may flood some areas, sure, but it rained in Iowa earlier this year and flooded some areas. Did we get stories about Iowa? Sure, but not to the extent of Earl.
We had winds up to 60 mph last week in Vegas but it didn't garner any national attention. Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes may mention some national attention for a day if blows down a bunch of houses, kills someone or makes a good video. They have winds just as strong as a hurricane and drenching rains.
So, we will have wall to wall coverage of Earl, just like President Obama, until it blows out to sea or goes up into Canada where they have provinces that the vast majority of Americans don't know their names. (Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador maybe hit.)
So, bring on Earl, it will be just like President Obama- a Big Fizzle.
