The Nevada Democrats and liberals are crapping in their pants after it was learned that Sharron Angle raised $14 million in the third quarter of the year. To say they were shocked is stating the obvious. from the Las Vegas Sun: Sharron Angle raises stunning $14 million in third quarter

Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle’s campaign is reporting the conservative candidate raised $14 million last quarter, putting her on a nearly even financial footing with her opponent Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Angle’s haul far outpaces any record set by a Nevada candidate, including Reid.

Buy stock in Pampers or any other diaper company. There is going to be a lot of Democrats crapping their pants today and every day until election day.
I wonder how Republicans will feel if their tidal wave actually happens. They're going to have to legislate if they win. And there are quite a number of "outside the box" candidates on their slate. Will Sharron Angle tone herself down, or will she let her freak flag fly?
ReplyDeleteIf the Republicans DO sweep the elections, and take over both houses of Congress, will they freak the rest of the country out? Will they shoot themselves in the foot by being so extreme that they terrify the electorate? Or will they piss off their base by moderating? It's going to be interesting either way (presuming they win, of course).
Popcorn for everybody!
I totally agree with you James. I think the establishment GOP is going to have a rough time and I can see a new person as majority leader in the House and Senate. Who ever is in charge of the GOP will have to be good at herding cats and rabbits.
ReplyDeleteI think the newbies will not go for the jugular in the beginning because they have to deal with Obama. But in 2012, if Obama is defeated by the GOP, (not Hillary)then look out. I don't think they will be as extreme as people make them out to be and the Dem's will then control the debate, if the they get more than 39 Senators.
It will be fun to watch.
Finally, if there is a opportunity for a legitimate 3rd party, 2012 will probably be the best chance for it. I can see the Libitarians making a strong push in 2012.
