2 days and 2 corrections by the Las Vegas Sun. That's a good percentage if you are a baseball player but as a newspaper, that's horrible and I suspect the Sun is doing this on purpose.
Yesterday, the editor of the Sun, Brian "The Coward" Greenspun had to apologize because the Coward was wrong on Joe Heck's position on Yucca Mountain.
Today, the Sun and writer Conor Shine had to do a correction about Joe Heck's position on the extension of unemployment benefits.
From the Sun: CORRECTION: The story incorrectly reported that Heck opposes an extension of the payroll tax cut. Heck supports an extension, but opposes Democrats' extension plan, which includes a surtax on million-dollar-plus incomes. That's a pretty big mistake. I never heard of Conor Shine, so I assume he is new, but he fits right in on the staff of the Sun. Lying, hatred of conservatives, unethical and not very smart.
How can you make a basic mistake like this? A simple question to his staff members would have solved this problem.
1 mistake can happen if the writer is sloppy but 2 mistakes in 2 straight days is not a coincidence and it shows a what lengths the Las Vegas Sun will go through to bring down a conservative. Put out a false statement in an article in the first edition and hope a lot of people read it and assume it is true. However, if you are caught, just apologize and act innocent. (Actually,, the Sun didn't apologize- figures- they have no class over at the Sun. )
So, it appears that this is the way that the Las Vegas Sun is going to handle the 2012 elections- lie, act unethically and when caught, act like an innocent child. In other words, business as usual.
