Earlier this year, the weather forecasters predicted that we would be having the same kind of winter weather as last year: snowy and cold. http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/2011/09/forecast-more-snow-cold-for-rockies.htmlWell, how is that prediction working out??
From the Reno Gazette Journal: Reno ended December completely dry for the first time in 128 years.
No rain or snow fell at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, the official monitoring station, throughout the month, the first completely dry December for the city since 1883, according to the National Weather Service.
Carson City was also completely dry for the month, the first time there since 2000. http://www.rgj.com/article/20111231/NEWS/111231016/Reno-has-first-dry-December-128-years?odyssey=tabtopnewstextFRONTPAGE
It also seems that most of the United States is lacking in snow as well.
Winter is far from over but...
