In the past 10 days, 13 police officers have died in the line of duty since December 7, 2011, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page. Of the 13 killed, 9 were killed by gunfire, 3 killed by cars or involved in a car accident and 1 heart attack.

Being a police officer is very dangerous job but there are those who love to second guess police offices and how they do their job. The Las Vegas Review Journal comes to mind as they have run several hit pieces against Metro and the police officers who work there these past two weeks.
So, I thank the police officers who brave the thugs they have to deal every day and night and deal with the pansy reporters from the LVRJ who second guess them
