Pawn Stars Review: December 5, 2011

A cold night in front of the fire in Las Vegas tonight as the temperatures may get down to 24 degrees. The mountains got up to 4 feet of snow late last week.
If you haven't taken the poll, I have a poll up on who your favorite Pawn Star is. Right now, Chumlee and the Old Mar are running neck and neck.
Two new episodes and in the first episode, the first person came in with an Olympic torch from 1984. The man who brought it in ran with the torch while it was run around the country. The guy wanted $5000 and Rick wanted an expert to look at it, Jeremy and said the torch was one of 5000 made that year. He said it was worth $1200-1700. The guy still wanted $5000 and Rick offered $800 and then $1000 and then there was no sale.
The next lady brought in a tiny gun, an Austrian Pin fire pistol. It was about an inch and a half long and it could still work but it just shoots caps. (so is it really a gun?) The lady wanted $100 and then $50 and Rick offered $20 and that was the selling price.
The next segment, they guys went out to Pahrump to look at a 1937 Model 37 Oldsmobile. Pahrump is about 60 miles from Las Vegas and home to several brothels. But it is not in the middle of nowhere and this is where they go to the shooting range- in Pahrump. Supposedly, the car was associated with Bugsy Siegel, a Las Vegas mobster and casino owner. Time for an expert, Danny from Kustom Kounts. Danny said it was rare to find a car like this and in this god of shape. The car ran great. Danny said it wasn't needed to be rebuilt and the car was worth about $17,000. The guy wanted $15,500 and Corey offered $14,000. $15,500 was the sale price and they paid by cashier's check- not cash.
The next guy brought in a large big Mario statue and was about 4 feet tall. the guy wanted $1000. Chumlee/Antown offered $550 and that was the final offer. The Old Man decided to take the car.
In the second episode, a woman called and wanted to sell a Custom Sand Rail, a dune buggy. The lady got it in her divorce and I guess she really didn't want it. It had a nitrous hookup to make it go faster. The guys say that off roading is big out here and it is to a certain extent, but not that big. The lady wanted $20,000 and Rick offered $15,000 and then $18,500 and that was the selling price.
The next guy brought in an old Levi's jacket. It was from the 1930's. The guy wanted $500 but Rick offered $300. The guy went to $400 and then Rick offered $350 and that was the selling price.
Rick went to an art gallery (Brett's) and was shown Jimi Hendrix's photos. The pictures were from Jimi Hendrix's photographer. These were never seen before photos. Rick offered $10,000 for 28 photos. The man selling wanted $20,000. Rick then offered $12,000 and then $14,000 and then $15,000 and that was the deal. Maybe these can be seen in the shop.
Then there was another call for a 2011 Polaris Razor Dune Buggy that can go 80 mph in the desert. The guy wanted $20,500. Corey offered $12,000 and then $14,000. The guy then went to $18,500. The selling price was $15,500.
In the end, they took the machines out to the desert out by Nellis AFB, I think. And rick took the Sand rail and it kicked butt but blew out the clutch but needed a tow from Corey.
Have a good night and see you next week for 2 new episodes. And don't forget to vote in our poll.
